~Rins POV~

"My name's Rinto." As I walk home I think of everything Rinto had said. Of his parents death, all the investigations he's done and the evidence he's found. And why did he decide to give me his name?

His parents were killed by werewolves and after doing some investigating he had even joined a group that investigate and exterminate them. Thank goodness he said he wouldn't say anything about Len until I said I wanted them to take him away. For starters I had to find out if he really had turned into an uncontrollable beast. I still loved him and while I was scared I had to know if we could make this work.

As I walk through my front door I see Len rummaging through our pantry for food. When he sees me he smiles. "Welcome home beautiful! It's pretty late, our neighbours must be really nice. Did you like them?" I almost chuckle at him but I'm a little too stressed out for that. Never the less I put on a fake smile and say, "Yeah, I liked them. You can't eat snacks all day! I'll make us some dinner." (Pretend they have today's appliances.) I walk past him and put some water in a pot and put it on the stove. Len walks up beside me. "Thanks for cooking. Now do you want to tell me what's bothering you? I can tell the difference between your real and fake smile, you know?" I freeze.

I quickly turn to face him but my elbow runs into the pot with boiling water sending the pot in my direction, before I could scream Len moves at inhuman speed and grabs the pot. My breath catches in my throat, he wasn't human, his speed made my blood run cold. Why am I so scared? He turns to me with blood red eyes. Tears of fear run down my face. How could I be so scared of the one I love?

~Lens POV~

I put down the boiling water and glance back at Rin to make sure she's alright but when I find a terrified, tear streaked girl behind me I panic. Did I miss some of the water? Did she get burned? I reached out to comfort her but she flinched from my touch. What? She starts backing away before turning and running. What just happened? I followed her to the bathroom she locked herself up in, knocked and softly spoke. "Rin, what happened? Let me in, I can help."

Her sobs met my ears and made my heart squeeze and stomach turn in knots. That's it! I kicked down the door and Rin looks up me fearfully. Wait, is she scared..... of me? I hesitantly walked to the edge of the bath where she sat and knelt to be eye level with her. I swallow thickly before asking the question that scared the most out of me. "Rinny, are you scared of me?"

~Rins POV~

Lens words filled so much emotion make my tummy turn in knots as I slowly nod. What's wrong with me?! Why am I scared of the one I love? Of the one who loves me? I look at Len to find tears rolling down his cheeks. His eyes search mine desperately, as if looking for a different answer. Eventually he hung his head and avoided eye contact. His next words were a low whisper filled with pain that made me wince. "I want to tell you that I would never hurt you but you wouldn't believe my words even if I did. Rin, I love you so if it brings back your smile, I will leave." He stands and heads for the door.

My body seemed to move on its own. Before I could think about it I was right behind him grasping the hem of his shirt. Once he froze, I pressed my head into his back. "I want to believe you, Len, I do. So much. And I love you so much. Don't go, I want to fix this. No I need to fix this. Look Len I might not always say it but I need you, I depend on you. Don't go, please."

Len turned around and looked down into my eyes. He moved extra slowly, careful not to scare me, into his embrace. Being held in his arms made me realize what I had almost done. I had almost lost him. I'm such an idiot. I sigh and let more tears fall, tears of relief. "Len, can I sleep with you tonight? I want to build back up our trust."

Len let me go and twirled a piece of my hair. "Of course Rinny."

~Lens POV~

I woke to a snoring Rin in my arms. Geese, yesterday was a mess. I run my hand through my blond hair, once again the same length as my girlfriends. I slip out of Rins embrace without waking her and softly close the door behind me. As I walk down the stairs, I sense something isn't right. A scent greets my nose. A human scent. Someone was here. I moved at inhuman speed down the stairs and walked into the kitchen, lead by the scent. I rounded the corner to see a blonde boy, not much older than I leaning against the kitchen counter.

"Hello Len, it's good to know your wolf hasn't eaten your soul yet."
