What Is He?

This is the second book of my first one so please read the first book before you read this or it won't make any sense to you.

~Rins POV~

I stare into a pair of beautiful red eyes as they stare into my blue ones. I guess I will never see his beautiful blue ones again but his red eyes hold a kinda scary beauty too.

"Good morning sleepy head." Len greets me.

"Morning pony tail." I say lazily. He smiles at my attempt to insult him. "So what's today's plan?" I ask.

"Hold on a sec Rin." He says then digs through our bag of supplies. He pulls out our map and starts studying it.

We've been on our own for about a week now. We've been walking on this road that is supposed to lead to the closest town but I'm starting to worry. The food we brought will only last another few days.

"Ok Rin. There is supposed to be a side road coming up soon and we'll take a right turn on it. That road will lead us directly to the closest town, Princeton." He looks up at me expectantly.

I smile at him for encouragement. "Cool, I can't wait to get there!" I say as cheerfully as a girl with sore feet, and whole body, can.

He suddenly leans over me and presses his forehead against mine and whispers, "Me too, but be careful, you have a low fever and your face is red."

Of course it's red! Your face is so close to mine! "Don't worry, I'm sure it's nothing." I quickly say.

We go on our way and follow the new road.

~Time Skip~

"There it is! I see it Len! Can you see it!? We're almost there!" I say while jumping with excitement.

He chuckles and looks at me." I know Rin. I could smell it a few miles back."

He could smell it? I frown. Why does his powers bother me? He's still the same Len, but he's not. His red eyes always calculating, and he uses his other senses too so much more then humans. He's nocturnal now too and he's always trying to hide how tired he is in the day.

I don't like how different he is from normal human beings. His entire being feels wrong but I love him so much I'll just have to look over that stuff. My Len is still in there somewhere.

He grabs my hand and smiles at me. "Lets run for it!" He says. I smile back and know that I'm screwed. I'm so hopelessly in love with him.

We slow down as we enter the town, me out of breath while Len is perfectly fine.

This town seems to have such a friendly feeling. Their are smiles on almost everyone's faces and lots of children laughing and playing. I think I'll like it here.

"Hey Rin." I snap out of my daze and look over at Len. "Lets split up and look around. You can find the market and get some food while I look for homes for sale and a job. Sound good?" He asks me.

"Sounds like a plan!" As Len let's go of my hand, I can't help but feel lonely. I tell myself I'll be fine. I can do this on my own. He's not my servant anymore so I can't have him do everything for me.

With new found determination I head off to find the market.

It didn't take long to find it. It's much busier than the one one in my home town so I could hear it long before I could see it.

I start browsing the potatoes when someone suddenly grabs my hand and turns me around.

I look up into a pair of blue eyes. He is much taller than me and had short blonde hair with hair pins holding back his bangs. His face showed how anxious he was.

"Um, can I help you?" I cautiously ask.

He leans his head down and whispers in my ear, "You're in danger, please come with me so we can talk privately."

The fear that runs through my veins only lets me nod my head and even though I can't move on my own, my body let's him pull me away.

Danger? What kind? Kidnapping? Rape? Murder? And by who? How does this guy even know? Eventually all my thoughts lead to one. Len. I want Len. I'm scared and I need him.

The mysterious stranger pulls me into a dress shop and behind a rack of dresses.

"Listen, this will sound like I'm crazy but even if you think I am I want you to take precautions. It's better to be safe than sorry, right?" I nod.

"Okay, you smell like a blood thirsty beast. A werewolf." I can't help but smile at this. I thought I was in serious danger but this guy can just sense paranormal stuff like Lens scent.

"Dont smile, this is serious. Your wolf friend may seem nice now but it won't be for long. They are creatures of the night that are only after blood. It's in their nature to kill. Even if it doesn't eat you now, the smell of humans will only make it hungrier that no animals flesh can satisfy. It is a hunger for humans and humans only."

It's in their nature to kill? Does it pain Len to be by so many people and not being able to eat them?

~Lens POV~

I hope Rin will be proud of me. I got us both a beautiful stone house and a lot of land, plus I landed a job as a construction worker.

I smell around for her and follow the scent. All these powers are still strange to me but they sure come in handy.

I stop in front of a clothing store and smile. Found her.

"Rin!" I call as I walk into the store. I see some rustling then Rin coming out towards me.

"He-hey Len." She says. Why does she sound so nervous? She probably thinks I'm mad at her for looking at cloths instead of food. Oh silly Rin.

I run up to her and grab her hands in mine. I missed the feeling of the touch of her skin so much.

"Guess what? I got a job and an awesome house with a lot of land!" She seems to relax and she smiles at me.

"Oh my glob Len! Your so amazing! You're very quick too. Oh shiitake mushrooms! I forgot to get the food! I'm so sorry Len."

I chuckle and say, "It's fine Rin, really. Lets go get them together." She smiles at that and we walk out but my new sharp vision can't help but notice the nervousness in her smile and the blonde guy staring at us through a dress rack.

I'm so sorry for the late update!! My internet was out for a few days so I couldn't post anything. But it's here now. Please comment and say if you think I should continue!
