"Everyone! Meeting to order with Commander Keith!" Yelled a cadet.
I ran over to the mess hall. Everyone was gathered here for a important meeting to discuss something. Maybe it's even the ceremony of me being kicked out. I groaned and sat down next to Rico. It was terribly loud making my eardrums scream for it I stop.
"Hey [Y/N] You've been busy these past few weeks huh.?" Rico said as she nudged my shoulder.
"Mhm.. Orders from Captain Erwin.."
I said firmly. I glanced over across the tables and saw Levi sitting down next to Captain Erwin. I raised an eyebrow. Them together.. Impossible! I sighed. My furry towards Erwin still hasn't died down I shouldn't approach him or I will probably blow.
"Alright!" Said Commander Keith.
"This meeting is now to order! Today we will be talking about our next expedition plan."
Wait!? An expedition!! I didn't see this coming! It's almost December! By the time we do the expedition it will be freezing! There must be a darn good reason to make us go out and fight them in such weather. A cold chill ran through my spine even thinking about it.
"Everyone calm down. I know you guys may be wondering why we would go out in such extending cold. Well... It's because are goal on this trip is to see how titans react to the cold. Since it seems titan activity is way more low in the winter time we will be going out to the south side where it is most cold also where most titan activity is.. Corporal Erwin will tell you the rest." Keith said sternly eyeing us down. Erwin got up from his table and walked up to the front of the mess hall.
"Listen and listen closely. Because of our shortage on Corporals and squads because of the recent attack last Spring we will be recruiting some new Corporals. If your name is called please rise.."
"Hanji Zoe... You have proven to be very trustworthy and a valuable piece for human kind. You are now in charge of a Special Squad called the Research Squad. You guys will study the titans and will also be more into order and science then combat. But since your athletic ability is still high you will be on The support Squad most of the time I the expedition because we have not sorted out your team. I understand this is only your 1st year but we are running short."
"[Y/N] [L/N], I've found that you have proven your loyalty and trust towards the Survey Corps and that you stand your ground with shrouding confidence. You will be in charge of the Special Operation Squad. You guys will be placed in the center of the group which is the most safest spot to be in.
Your squad is:
Rico
Hunter
Olou
Petra Ral
And Levi Ackerman who will be Second in Command." Erwin said.
Wait..? What!?! I am now a Corporal!? I am a Corporal! I have a team! This is awesome! But really why me.. I'm such a stupid little girl.. That has really high combat skills and intelligent. I guess I deserved it. But what about what happened yesterday! Erwin and I got into a discussion and I left..! Maybe it was just a test.. I'm sure it wasn't just an assignment though.
Erwin kept on talking and calling out the new squads and placing. I was right in the middle of the formation which is really safe. People walked up to me and congratulated me and Hanji. The least thing I want right now is a bunch of people crowding me. Erwin walked up to me.
"[Y/N] today we have training so go get your squad." Erwin said friendly like. I walked over and got Petra and Rico. Then I found Levi,Hunter and Olou. They all saluted me. Levi kinda slouched while saluting and I raised an eyebrow at him suspiciously. He then straighten his saluted and then we walked off.
"Alright everyone. Today we are practicing slicing and agility. Firs we will be doing agility training. You guys will have to run against me on 3dmg and kill all the fake titans on the way." I said quite firmly to them. I sighed.
"Just a warning mine is 59 seconds." I said smirking. I could obviously tell they were shocked by my speed. The Highest speed for a rookie is usually
1, 11 seconds. But for me I have the highest speed in my training class, a 59.
First up was Levi. I know he is fast but I am not sure he can beat me.
I started at the brim of the forest next to Levi. He didn't look very intimidated by me at all. I huge red flare shot up from the blanket of trees as I starting! Zoom! Me and Levi went flying. I zoomed up and jumped off a tree and bark fell off the side as my boots hit it. Then I slashed the dummies neck from up high. A nice clean cut. I then started jumping from branch to branch at top speed. Things were going by so fast I could barely see in front of me. I branched onto a tree and flicked my wire up into the clear blue sky. My nerves reacted down to the bottom of my foot. The exhilaration gotten to me and made me stay like that for a moment. Then I got back to reality and flew down and sliced the bread on the dummies neck. I then zoomed through the rest of the forest knowing that was the last titan. I then jumped out of the forest at the exact same time as Levi and landed right after him.
"Crap!" I whispered under my breath.

The guy holding the stopwatch said Levi won by 1.1 seconds.
"Good try. You were only 1.1 seconds under me." He said in a monotone voice. It's been a while since I've seen those darting steel eyes.
