Chapter 9

Na Yeol's POV

The next day was almost normal. Almost. Here's what happened that caused my almost nornal to be not normal. Did that make sense? Whatever you get the point.

"Kookie ah psst jungkookieee" I whispered in the middle of lesson. He glared at me "what?" He said.

"How do you do this one?" He looked over at my paper and snickered. I look at him weirdly

"My dear na yeollie, first you have square root this one then the answer you'll have to subtract then" he went on and on, but all I heard was "blah blah blah blaah" I look at his face as he went about the question

"Got it?" I snapped out of my daze, "huh? Uh yea" I smiled and gave him a thumbs up. Then leaned back on my seat and turned to my side. I was about to ask the guy who sat beside me if he knew but before I could, he shook his head "I'm just as confused as you are." I chuckled

After math lesson, we all had a free period. Everyone went to their own friends, taehyung and jimin went to where me and jungkook was, and sat at the desk at our side. Don't worry, the people sitting at that desk were with their friends so tae's and jimin's asses weren't hovering their faces.

We were laughing when suddenly Chanyeol walked to where we were. We immediately stopped laughing and stared at him with blank faces. He seemed nervous.

"Uh na yeol ah here" he handed me a note, again. I eyed suspiciously I grabbed it and looked at sehun who was smiling sadly at me. I rolled my eyes and opened the note.

To Nayeol:

Meet us at the roof during lunch alone? Please.

I turned to my friends without sparing the tall boy a glance. He sighed and went back to his friends. I told them about the note and asked them if I should go or not. Suddenly jimin said "maybe taehyung should go with you" jungkook agreeing.

"But it said to come alone?" He said. I nodded. The 2 boys shrugged and we talked about other stuffs.

I look at the front to see that hye mi wasn't here "hey hye mi didn't come to school today?" They turned to the front and shrugged "I could care less." Taehyung said.

I nodded and then I realised something "when did you guys transfer here?" I asked

Jungkook looked at me "oh! A few days after the school started, I remember when you found us on the roof. You seem so scary but now you're like an adorable little harmless bunny" he said grinning, showing his pearlie whites. I chuckled " all 7 of you?" They nodded..

Soon our free period ended and they all went to their respective seats as we started history.

Lunch soon came and I was still contemplating on whether I should see them or not. I sat at our usual table and look at sehun's table to see that they weren't there. Taehyung caught me looking and nudged me "if you want you can go.. we'll be here if anything happens" I smiled and nodded.

I excused myself from the table and made my way to the roof. When I opened the door leading to the roof. First thing I saw was 10 boys with theirs backs facing me. "Um" I said, unsurely.

They immediately turned around and widened their eyes. "What? I got your note and I came." I said. They quickly cleared their throats and fidgeted "look if you're gonna waste my time like this then I'm gonna go." I began to turn around

Almost immediately sehun said "wait wait wait! Um we asked to meet us here because all of us wanted to apologize"

I raised my eyebrow "well I don't hear any apologies.." I retorted

Soon every single one of them got on their knees and apologised, surprising me.

Sehun was the last one "chloe I'm so sorry that I humiliated you. My actions were unforgivable but here I am, begging on my knees for your forgiveness. And you're right, if you came back the same person you were a year ago,we would be laughing. But I have come to realise that you didn't deserve all that. You're smart and funny and super nice, not to mention kind and caring towards others. I have been living with guilt. If you guys didn't know, everyday after chloe dissapeared, I hurt myself. You know what I mean" he motioned towards his wrist. I gasped, "I was worried and I didn't get much sleep, I became a huge mess. I have hurt a girl so badly until she dissapeared to god knows where. I regretted everything. Chloe please forgive me."

I sighed "guys stand up please" they shook their heads "not until you forgive us." Baekhyun said, the rest nodding.

I walked to where sehun was, I got on my knees until I was eye level with him, my hands trembled as I took his wrists to my palms. I slowly rolled his sleeve upwards, revealing the light and new red scars on his wrist. I gasped. "Why?" I whispered. But he just kept quiet.

I can't believe I made someone hurt himself because of me. I dropped his wirst and pulled him to a hug. "Don't do it anymore sehun. It kills me more to know I've made someome cut because of my disappearance." He nodded slowly, I felt his shoulder shook slowly, signalling that he was crying. I slowly let go and brushed away his tears.

I stood up and brushed off the dirt off my knees. "I forgive you" they smiled, but then I continued "but that doesn't mean you can start talking to me and treat me as if I'm your long lost best friend. I don't trust you. At least not yet. Don't let me down" they frowned.

I walked away living them there but I quickly turned around "you guys still have 20 minutes for lunch, go get something to eat." I smiled and went to where my bestfriends were.

I sat down in between suga and taehyung, they all look at me for answers "well woman? Tell us what happened?" Suga said breaking the silence.

"I forgave them." I sighed, running my fingers through my hair. "What? Why?" Namjoon said the others agreeing.

"At first I wasn't going to, but then I found out that I've hurt someone badly." I sighed and rested my head on taehyung's shoulder.

"Who?" Jungkook said

"Tell anyone this and I wil break your necks. You guys are my bestfriends and I trust you guys a lot." I motioned them to lean closer

"Sehun cuts himself due to regret and guilt." I said. Their mouths hung open. "Whoa" jin said.

"I did not expect that. He always seem so calm and collected" jimin whispered.

"I guess he kept it to himself. Which saddens me more" I sighed, taehyung wrapped an arm on my shoulder "why?"

"He has 11 other friends, heck brothers. Why didn't he trust them enough to tell them about it?" I questioned, making the 7 others nod in agreement.

At that moment sehun and friends walked in. Sehun made eye contact with me and smiled., I did something that I never thought I'd do in a million years.

I smiled back. Am I doing the right thing?
