michael was getting really annoyed by now.

it had been 2 weeks since he met luke at the record store, and since then luke seemed to be following him around. not only that, but he just never shut up- much to michael's great displeasure. he didn't say anything though. other than people like luke poking around in his business, confrontation was michael's number one pet peeve. he hated it with a burning passion, and there was no way he was going to be confronting luke about his annoying antics anytime soon.

"hey mikey!" the blonde came up from behind michael and threw his arm around his shoulder. that was the other thing- luke kept acting like they were the best of friends, even though michael made it more than obvious that they weren't. most of the time michael didn't even talk to luke, he just pretended to listen as the younger boy rambled on about the most random things.

"so, you want to grab a bite after school?" michael shrugged, only paying half attention to the question. luke wouldn't have taken no for an answer anyway.

"good! it's settled then. we can meet outside the dining hall at 11:50, if that's okay with you of course." luke smiled at the red-head hopefully.

michael shrugged again, walking into his next class. he heard a faint "see you later!" coming from luke, to which he ignored.

he sat in his seat at the back of the large classroom and took out his books, wanting more than anything to be anywhere but where he was at the moment.

"you're going to love this place, i promise!" luke squealed, never taking his eyes off the road in front of him. michael was a little apprehensive at first about getting in the car with him since luke was so jumpy and jittery, but he turned out to be a pretty good driver. he was taking them both to some indian place that he claimed was 'so amazing it'll make your balls fall off'- those were his exact words.

michael didn't know what to think. during one of his classes, he had gotten a call that dampened his mood even more and now he really wished he had just turned down luke's offer.

luke pulled up in front of a small brick building and smirked at michael before climbing out of the car. michael followed suit, though he was less enthusiastic. his mind was a bit clouded, and he wondered how luke hadn't noticed he was being spacey yet.

"i really enjoy the masala here. it's great. oh! we should get a table." luke was more hyper than usual, which didn't help michael's headache.

they were led to a small, two-seat table in the back corner by the hostess, who was very obviously flirting with the considerably annoying blue eyed boy.

"just ask me if you need anything." she sent a wink towards luke, which pissed michael off a little. it irritated him how forward she was. however, luke just smiled up at her and looked down at his menu.

michael rolled his eyes. "she was annoying."

luke's head snapped up, surprised that michael had actually said something for once. he shrugged. "i thought she was nice."

michael snorted, and luke sent him a questioning look. "what?"

"she was obviously flirting with you."

luke furrowed his eyebrows. "she was?"

michael nodded. luke shrugged. "oh. well, i'm not interested anyway."

michael raised an eyebrow. "seriously? i mean, she is pretty hot."

"i mean i guess she is," luke chuckled. "i don't really swing that way though."

michael tilted his head in confusion. "you're gay?"

"mm hmm." luke nodded, "is that a problem?"

"no, not at all," michael shook his head vigorously. "just wasn't expecting it, s'all."

luke smirked. "that's just the thing, i'm unpredictable."

michael rolled his eyes for what felt like the 800th time that day, but he couldn't help but let the corners of his mouth lift up a little. for some reason, the news of luke being gay made michael feel a little better about the waitress' flirting, though he wasn't exactly sure why. he just pushed it aside though and focused on getting out of that restaurant as fast as he could.

michael had much bigger problems to worry about.
