Karma watched from a far at the future territory that would belong to Vlad Baron. From what she can gather of the constant scurries of the people, the celebration would be taken place in only a matter of months.

She moved away slowly from the high branches of a bush. She made she her dark hair didn't tangle with any leaves and made sure that she took light steps as she walked away.

"Months to congratulate a beast that encourages blood lust," Karma scoffed at the thought. "What kind of people go ahead and throw a party for a man who does nothing but cause the spill of blood of the innocent?"

"People who believe that the person they look to for leadership and guidance is doing the right instead of the wrong."

Karma turned to only see it was her father who looked worn from the his travels to the river.

"Papa!" Karma jumped with joy as she embraced her father in a hug.

"I was getting worried that you'd be hurt," Karma spoke.

"Ha, nothing can ever tire out these old bones of mine." Her father almost roared with a hearty laugh.

He stood tall at about 5'7 ft with ruffled black hair and tired worn green eyes. Compared to his daughter he'd be a head and a half taller than her.

"Come we go back to shelter for dinner, I caught us a few fish your mom can cook."

With that Karma followed her dad away from the border of the territory and return to what they call "home."

The walk was somewhat far though nothing proved difficulty as they journeyed.

"How was your day," her dad had asked.

"Just staying close enough to the border to hear of any news of others close by. All I hear about are these Rouges that try to test the limits when it comes to the border. But they are still bidding by the rules of not coming into territory. So they have not made an attempt to track them."

"Well we can't be too careful," he sternly spoke. "Wouldn't need you wandering too close or them trying to kidnap you."

Both stayed silent for a minute then echoed the forest with heartily laughter. The mere thought of Karma actually being kidnapped by those beasts or even wandering too close to the border! Ha!

Karma was one for being cautious when around the border. She'd always rub mud and around her to cover her scent. She'd step lightly whenever she was near to not alert any trollers.

"The day I get captured by them is the day I die," Karma laughed at the mere thought.

She was always careful, everything she must do must be according to plan to not be seen or caught.

When they reached a slightly hollow cave, they were greeted by a woman who smiled with joy and relief.

"I was worried for a moment," she embraced them both tightly. "I almost began to fear the worst."

"We are fine dear," Karma's dad smiled as he handed her the fish.

"Nothing new about other survivors' locations?"

"No mom, so far that I know of we are the only ones out here. The closet people are still another 16 miles north of other side of the territory. Maybe we can head out that way."

"Karma, we know how much it means for all of our sakes to be back in a humane society, but that plan is far dangerous alone right now. I've seen patrollers walk constantly now ever since the Rogues had began to taunt at them. If they actually see us who knows what they would do to us."
