(First person: Karma)

Somehow I had managed to sleep for the rest of the day yesterday, I am still not sure how, though I concluded that that was possible because of the mutt I am stuck with, Vlad. We had literally returned back to this house of horror around 2. It didn't feel like it but time apparently is not working on my side whatsoever. When morning broke I was more than happy to know that I am able to leave his side for a brief moment.

I stretched my arms above my head when I rose from a too long of slumber. It was a good feeling until I felt his damn hand rub my back.

"The Hell you doing," I slapped his hand away.

"Touching you," he scoffed as he tried rubbing my back again.

"We are having none of that."

"Well, last I checked, I am the one who tugs on your leash," he smirked with a raised eyebrow. Course he would declare an inappropriate joke at the right moment.

Somehow even when he is smirking at me, I felt a small twinge in my mind telling me that mutts like him aren't that bad. To Hell with that, I am gonna be having a victory glass of whiskey when I have his head on a silver platter. Though...still...ever since we started spending as much time together at Rosa's shelter, I felt this weird tension ache in my head. I will just ignore it, it is nothing new. I have felt headaches like that before when under so much stress. But this is different...no. No it is not.

I brought my feet to the edge of bed and stretched out my toes, though felt the weight of the bed lighten when Vlad had rose to his feet as well. He stretched his own body as well to awake the sore muscles and i watched in slight amazement as his darkened skin had smoothly rolled with each small move of his muscles. The hell am I saying, he is the main reason I am stuck here instead of helping the girls at Rosa's escape.

"Karma, hurry and get dressed. We have lessons to attend to," he commanded in a gentle tone.

You'd think for an upcoming Alpha, he would be more commanding, and have more a grasp at learning how to take control, he is more gentle than I had thought. I am sure it is only a phase he will give me once the first week has ended. Vlad had given me work out pants and a tank top, with a small talk of how the training sessions will put me to work beyond compare.

Once he brought me clothes to wear he stood at my body with hunger lusted eyes.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" I had asked him.

"Do you not like when men stare at you," he asked questionably. Though I ignored his rants of women nowadays have low self esteem issues.

After getting my body adjusted to the clothes, I awaited for him to finish dressing into shorts and tanks almost compared to my outfit. Would these training sessions be painful? I imagine so. Could I possibly be able to survive to see the light of day again? Very slim chance. Very slim. We walked past the household rooms and soon passed the dining room table that held a bowl of assorted fruits, which Vlad had grabbed a few and tossed one to me, hinting that it is breakfast. We returned to the arena where the young..pups were learning of hand combat and preparing for training in the years to come. Alex stood there in the bright light with a gleaming smile on his face, this was the first time I've ever looked at him. 5'12 inches tall with blue eyes that were clear as an ocean glass. Blonde tangled hair that was not combed ready for the workout of a lifetime. Body was lean though muscle mass could not be mistaken for the training lessons he had done before.

"Vlad! And his Pet! Come, come!" He was enthusiastic about our arrival but embraced us both in his arms for a tightening bear hug. "I am honored that you trust me to train your Pet, old friend. It is an honor."
