Karma woke herself up when she heard the floor begin to stomp from the girls running in what felt like a panic attack. With those scurried steps Karma had gotten herself up and dressed into a short red skirt that reached her mid-thigh and a plain black corset that she finished tying. Karma rose the collar that sat on the nightstand, then felt her fingers go numb when she felt them latch the collar together.
Karma sighed as she began her descent downstairs to find not only the girls scattering around to clean but to also make themselves look more presentable than their usual dressed attire. Karma saw Amelia scurry to lace her corset together though Karma had grabbed her from being stampeded by the other girls.
"Thanks," Amelia sighed.
"Why is everyone in a rush," Karma asked as she took Amelia's corset and began to tie it for her.
"Future Alpha Vlad is supposed to be coming in an estimated 2 days, so we are wanting to have the house look most gorgeous when he visits," she replied as she allowed Karma to help her.
"So you guys are just cleaning as if there is no tomorrow?"
"In all honesty, we are unsure of his exact arrival, so Madam Rosa cleans the house."
Karma then listened to Amelia as she began to ramble about how all the girls dress more lovely so that they may be chosen to be his Pet.
"Is it that big of a deal," Karma asked as she began to dust off the dining room table and chairs with Amelia.
"Most just want to have the chance to sleep with him. When he slept with Biscuit for one night she bragged at how she amazed him in bed."
Karma knew that Biscuit was more of a slutty type but to brag about spending the night with this Vlad was kinda over bearing.
"Is it ok if you can help me clean the library, if anything that is Vlad's favorite place to see," Amelia had asked Karma.
"Sure."
They both made their way to the book room which greeted them with dust that fluttered against the light. But the many dust bunnies couldn't escape the power of harsh cleaning supplies. Time flew by as the shelves were dusted clean to a point that it reflected the shine of light. While dusting Karma had come across an old story, Beauty and the Beast.
She didn't know why she picked it from the shelf, maybe it was because she thought of the simple little bedtime story for children. Though now, it all seemed so wrong to think that a woman could love a man who had her locked up away.
"I love that story," Amelia smiled as she looked to see the cover. "I know it's weird of me to say it at me age but it's still a nice story."
"A story about how a woman falls in love after being a victim of Stockholm syndrome. That's a great tale for kids," Karma muttered.
"Well, maybe Belle did fall in love," Amelia interjected. "When you fall in love, you find yourself in a whole new world. From what I hear..."
"Huh, I'll believe it when I do," Karma placed the book back on the shelf. "But o don't think that is happening for a long time."
After dinner was consumed Karma snuck back to the library and took the Beauty and Beast hardcover back to her room. She changed into a pair of long pants and a long sleeved shirt to match it. Then tucked herself into the covers, while she propped the book on her knees. What drove her to take the book to her room and actually reread it, she did not know. But one can assume that missing the memories of the past can make a person wish for it to be, once again.
Karma placed the book on the night stand then lay her body against the mattress. Eye that began to heavy soon fell to rest.
By dawn of the next day Karma had already eaten breakfast with Amelia and have taken the rest of the day outside in the sunshine.
