Chapter 23:
Ren's POV:
I went to the hospital. I went straight to the playground were Young Il and I used to hang out when we're still friends. I look at my watch and i'm half an hour earlier than our said time. I sit at the swing were Young Il and i sit when we're talking and having fun..
"Oh! You're that pretty boy from before!" Old woman
She's a grandma who almost lived here in the hospital. Family rarely visit her so after i got discharged and i visit Young Il, i'll also visit her sometimes.
"Halmeoni! You're still here? It's nice to see you again. It's been years already!" I said with a smile
"I'm quiet a fighter you know. Are you surprise that i'm still alive huh?" She laughed
"No Halmeoni..." i scratch my nape and give her an awkward smile
"Oh by the way, where's your girlfriend? Is she with you? Are you or is she confined again?" She asked
Wow. She really remembered us.
"She'll be here in a while.. No halmeoni we're not sick.." i smiled
"Then say hi to her for me. I need to go back to my room now. It's nice to see you again! It's not everyday i bumped into some handsome and nice kid.." she laugh and walks away
Nice? That made me guilty.. She's hospitalized because of what i did.. I'm so stupid..
I reminisce the time when she looked at me the first time with her smiling face. She's so innocent and pure.
*facepalm* I love her with all my life. Why didn't i realize that? Back when i was in Star 15, she's so nice to everyone and even she's a girl she protects us more than GD does..
I felt someone is in front of me. I open my eyes and remove my hand from my face. I'm shocked to see Young Il's face leveled with mine.
She has a blank look on her face.
"Uljima.." she said
"Huh?" I asked in confusion
She put her hand on my cheeks and wipe the tears flowing. Wait-- i'm crying? I didn't realize..
With the sudden skinship, i blushed a little which made her stand up.
"Sorry.." Young Il
She said and sits at the swing beside me..
"No princess, don't be!" I said
Then she smiled bitterly. She's not looking at me. She's staring at nowhere. I know what that means..
"Are you scared that i might hurt you?" I asked softly
"You did it once, you can do it again.." She said still not looking at me
"I won't.. cause i love you.." i bluntly said
"When did you feel sorry about what you've done?" She asked
"Since the day that happened.. but i feel more sorry when i first saw your sincere smile. You rarely, i think you never, do that in front of Star 15. I asked myself, why did i ever hurt this angel?" I said with sincerity
"But you never told me.." she said while biting her lips
She's about to cry..
"I'm afraid to lose you. I learned to love you. At first i thought it's just guilt, but it turns out to be something deeper than that.."
She stand up. I can see she's really hurt.
"I HIDE MYSELF, MY FACE TO EVERYONE BECAUSE I'M SCARED THAT SOMEONE MIGHT KILL ME AGAIN! MY MEMORIES SHOULD COME BACK EARLIER IF I DON'T CREATE NEW MEMORIES WITH YOU! I THOUGHT THAT IT'S OKAY IF I DON'T REMEMBER AS LONG AS I HAVE YOU BUT I'M WRONG! I SHOULD BE HIDING FROM YOU! I HAVE A HARD TIME TRUSTING SOMEONE BUT THE PERSON THAT I SHOULDN'T TRUST TURNS OUT TO BE YOU! MY BOYFRIEND! A STAR15 MEMBER! HOW... HOW.. HOW CAN YOU DO THIS TO ME!"
She bursts into tears and lose the strength in her legs. She fell and sat on the grass, crying like a child. My heart hurts.
I come closer and i wanted to hug her.
"No. Don't touch me. Please don't! I don't know who you are. Or what kind of person you are. Don't come near me." She said in a scared voice
My heart hurts so much more seeing her afraid of me. Then someone pushed me away and i landed on the grass.
"I knew this would happen.." Sehun
Exo.
"Don't worry Reime, i'm here.." Luhan
Sehun took off his jacket and put it around her. D.O gets a handkerchief in his pocket and wipe Young Il's tears. Luhan carry her like bride and she hugged him.
This is the most painful of all..
"Stop hurting her." Exo said in chorus
"Let her.. Move forward.." Kai
"Stop making our baby cry or else we won't forgive you." Lay
"Don't try our patience." Tao
"I am the only one who's allowed to scare my daughter." Kris
"S-stop." She said while sobbing
"Let's go." Suho said
And they left.
I have my chance.. But i wasted it.. I just want to say that..
Young Il, i need you because i am so inlove with you.
