Destiny's POV

The time me and Zane had I will always treasure, he learned how to cook and Ender used her powers to disguise herself as a sick me when someone came to visit me, the constant spells Ender was casting was draining her, you could tell, her eyes weren't as purple as they usually were and she had bags under her eyes. Zane told me, under the spells influence, he had killed her brother. We have both been wondering why she's helping us, I haven't met her before and she hates Zane, how do we matter?

"Des, I can tell something's wrong." Zane said, I took my head off of his shoulder and looked him in the eye.

"Why is Ender helping us?" I asked.

"I thought you knew her, if you don't then I'm as clueless as you." Zane replied.

"I'm helping you two because I'm the guardian of this dimension and the most powerful thing in it is love, I'm not helping you two per say but I'm helping draw together the most powerful majix that I will need later to end the starting war." Ender said, I looked at her, her hair was a mess; her eyes were drained of their usual dark purple color and were replaced with a deep, blood red, and she was very pale, over all she looked sick from over using her majix capabilities.

"Ender, what do you mean by 'to end the starting war' are you referring to the war I'm starting?" Zane asked, Ender shook her head.

"No, the one I am referring to is the war of the magi, it has never ended and the battles will start again, your 'war' as you call it will be the first of many battles that will restart the war of the magi." Ender answered. "Don't let my reasons for bringing you two together stop you, I'll go upstairs, I have someone I want to call anyways." Ender said pulling out a communication amulet and walking up the stairs.

"She's a character." I say.

"She really is sometimes." Zane replied. "I think after she contacts who ever that is then we'll be leaving."

"No, please stay as long as you can, I can't say goodbye again after so long." I said, tears welled up in my eyes, I felt weak but I couldn't help but cry.

"Don't cry Destiny." He replied wiping the tears from my eyes. "You're to beautiful to cry." He said holding my chin gently, he held my forehead near his and we kissed. Wee heard a bang and the clanging of swords, he jumped from the couch and ran upstairs pulling out his obsidian sword on his way up.

"You thought I wouldn't see you weren't Destiny?! Well news flash I can see through petty illusion spells because I know how Destiny acts! Who are you?" A mad Laurence asked, yelled, at Ender, she was on her knees with Laurence's sword to her throat, she had other cuts and what seemed to be an arrow wound with tears streaming down her face. "Who are you?!" Laurence asked, starting to draw blood from her neck.

"You let her go!" Zane yelled, he was livid.

"Zane, why would a shadow knight cover for Zane? Why do you care what happens to, as you say, 'your pawns'." Laurence sneered, Ender looked Zane in the eye and mouthed Run...

"She isn't a pawn at play! She's a real person and her life matters! The life of her child matters! And I'll go and rot in any prison cell you choose if it means she can live." Zane said calming down, Laurence was in shock at what Zane had said and he took his sword away from Enders neck, she coughed up some blood and held her hand gingerly to her neck above the cut.

"Ender, are you alright?" Zane asked rushing to her side, Laurence regained his composure and held his sword to Zane's throat.

"So you have a lover?" Laurence asked.

"I do, she might not feel the same after how I abandoned her for my sister, but yes." Zane answered.

"Laurence, don't do this." Ender pleaded. "Every life you take is one more step closer to becoming a Shadow Knight, my father shouldn't have a bigger army than he already has, I happen to know some people here that don't want Zane dead either."

"Who then, oh greater full transformation, cares about a murder-" Laurence stopped, Ender had started turning yellow, her skin turned to scales, and wings grew out of her back. She was turning into a Wyvern. She jumped onto Laurence knocking him unconscious and picked up Zane and threw him too her back before flying off.
