Hey guys! I'm sooo sorry that I haven't updated for a while. I'm going to do a time skip to a few months after Zane disappears, and Aphmau, Lillian, Laurence, Emmalynn, Kenmur, Aaron, Katelynn, and any others that I forgot disappear as well and how Destiny handles it.
Hunter's (Destiny's big brother) POV
She's been upset, I can tell, but I can't tell why. Ender found a necklace that was Zane's on the field where the battle was and had me give it to Des, she cried. The necklace was a silver cross on a silver chain.
Ender has't been here since.
Destiny cries herself to sleep at night.
Rosalie has been trying to open a portal to Irene knows where.
No one has come to the island for a while, but people keep leaving. Soon, it'll be too small to be considered a village with the rate of people leaving. Soon it'll just be my family left, Destiny, Acid, Akkley, Rosalie, just us, on an island that can hold almost half as many people as the nether.
Destiny's POV
He's gone.
He's gone and I can't help him.
He's going to be killed if he hasn't been already.
I could feel the warm tears flowing down my cheeks.
I shouldn't have let him go
He's going to die and it's going to be my fault
I wanted to help but he wouldn't let me.
Why?
(flashback)
"I lost my family, I swear I won't lose you, too." Zane kissed my forehead. "It's going to lock me in Irene's dimension, there is no way to get through without a sacrifice, I won't be seeing you in a few years."
(back to present)
"Des? You in there?" I could tell it was Akkley, she's been my best friend since before I met Ender. Before I could respond she walked in, "I went to Okasis and broke into Zane's study," She pulled an amulet out of her pocket. "I didn't activate it, but I know what it does. Ender once had one, Zane must've found it." I turned it over in my hands, I found a ridge and traced my thumb over it, something pricked it, I barely noticed. "Remember the pendant that Zane gave Kiki? This is another version of it."
