1st Year in Konoha High School

Part II

Naruto
(Flash Back)

I was on my way home from school and was in joy for going to the mall to see Sakura. I would hang out with my friends, but they all have plans right now. So I will just wait until we go to the mall.

When I was turning on my street I heard sirens and smelled smoke. My life flashed before my eyes when I saw it was the house I live in. The house is on fire.

"Shit!" I ran to my house to see if everything is okay. Jiraiya was in that house today. My parents aren't since they already passed away when I was very young in a car accident. There is more to the story, but I need to see if Jiraiya is alright.

I went up to the police and the house was almost out of flames. I did not see Jiraiya. I asked the cop, "Have you seen an old man? His name is Jiraiya."

He looked down, trying to say what he had to say. "I'm sorry boy... but that man in that house got suffocated in the smoke... he is d-"

"Why!? Was there anybody that tried rescuing him!?" Tears started running down my face since I found out my last part of my family is now gone."Why didn't you get here sooner!?"

"I'm sorry. We tried but we couldn't rescue him." He stated as he walked away. He hollered back, "We will take care of the paper work from here since you are under age."

Once I heard him say those words, I started running and did not look back. I knew nobody was going to be home except for Shikamaru, but he is taking a nap. The rest are far away. I need to see someone... anyone. I can't handle this thought on my own like I always do. I than realize only one girl that lives a few blocks away that I could talk too.

Hinata...

(End of flashback)

"W-why are y-you here N-Naruto-kun?" I finally heard her talk. I couldn't stop crying.

"Can I come in. I need to talk to someone and I could only think of you." I said wiping my face with the last of my tears.

"S-sure. Come i-in." She showed my the way to her living room. She has a huge house, but now is not the time to compliment.

We sat on the couch together. She put her hand on my shoulder with concern. I told her everything that happened and she felt even more concerned.

"Hinata. I'm fine now, you don't have to feel bad for me." I stated as I got up from the couch.

"A-alright... you c-can stay here for a-a bit." she said as she got up.

Thanks to her for calming me down, I gave her a hug once she got up. She accepted it and we stayed like this for a moment.

"Thank you Hina-chan"

Hinata

"Thank you Hina-chan" My crush said very quietly into my ear.

Wait... did he call me Hina-chan?

We a parted from our long lasting hug and for some reason I don't feel scared over him anymore. I just gave him a smile and he smiled me back.

"You can stay here until you get a place to live." I mentioned while I looked at my phone to look at the time. "Well I guess I am going to be late to meet up with the girls."

"Hey, when did you stop stuttering?" He gave me a better smile than before.

For some reason I am not blushing anymore, nor am I stuttering... was Naruto's hug the answer to take away my shyness? Heh, that would be funny if that is the answer.

"I don't know what you are talking about Naruto-kun." I smirked at him. "I'm going to head out to hang with that girls. When do you leave to meet up with the guys?"
