I wake up sweating, gasping for air. I lay in my bed for a few minutes as I think of what just happened. I have never had a dream, or vision or what ever you want to call it about what happened on festoon. maybe Sandor will be able to make some sense on it.
I sit up and rub my eyes as I still listen to the screams of the now dead lombax's in my head. I stand up and walk over to the window. I look out over the emptiness of Krell Canyon. the sun shines through my window and smile on my face.
I walk over to my mirror. I see my long brown auburn hair messy. My golden ears prick up at the sight of my green eyes. I see my mother's pendant that she gave me a few day's before the attack hanging around my neck. I clench it as I walk to over back to my bed. I gab a orange crop top and slip it on and some slick black pants, along with my boots and gloves. I grab my belt and attach my devises to it, in case I need them.
I proceed out my room and walk down the hall and down a flight of stairs to the kitchen. sitting at the table is Sandor. his slightly yellow face turns towards me, his red stripes on his ears, and face are dark. his wearing a red top, with shoulder armour, jeans, the same brown gloves as me and hover boots.
He is looking at his computer. My guess, he's looking to see if tachyon as catchted up to us yet. for as long as I can remember, Sandor has all ways been worried about tachyon hutting us down and killing us. He believes that me and him, need to avenge fastoon and stop him from taking the galaxy. But until that day, Sandor Said's we must train.
"you finally woke up" Sandor say's while taking a sip of his coffee
"you should finally go to bed" I say realizing that he has been up all night
A smile's creeps on his face "I don't need sleep" he stands up and grabs some equipment "come, on we'll do our morning drills"
Instead of following Sandor I sit down at the table. Sandor senses something is wrong. He drops the equipment and sits back where he was sitting before.
"something wrong Lorraine?" he asks
I sigh and look up at him "I had a dream, like a really bad dream"
I expect Sandor to tell me that it will be ok and what not. but he doesn't. He just stares at me, waiting for me to tell him what it's about.
"It was the attack on fastoon"
Sandor looks at me with a sad face, I can see by his face that he's remembering it. He sighs and give's me a weak smile "I'm sorry you had to experience it"
I look back up at him still hearing the screams "do you know what my farther said to my mother, in her last moment's"
As soon as I say it, I regret it. but Sandor is strong and gives me a answer "he told her he was sorry. A few weeks before tachyon attacked, me and your family were going to leave the planet, to come here and live. Your farther believe that there was something not right with the cragmite and voted we should leave. but it took longer to leave then what we thought, and we were to slow."
Sandor looks back at me once he has regained himself "He promised her that you would be safe, and you were going to bring the lombax's back, somehow. with, or without his help"
I look down at the ground as I take all this in. Sandor puts his hand on my arm for comfort "do you understand now why this is so important Lorraine? why we need to stop tachyon, not just to make ourselves feel better, but to bring them back. To restore fastoon, and not having more die or have our planet taken off us again?"
I nod and look back at him "you better be there to, I wont be able to do it by myself"
Sandor smiles and small laugh escapes his mouth and stands up. He gabs my father's wrench and throws it to me, he grabs his own and walks to the door "then we better make sure we're ready for the war ahead"
