Natsu's Secret

Chapter 1

"Natsu! Hurry up! We'll be late for the party!" A flying blue exceed known as Happy said to his "adoptive father". "Yea, yea, I know! You go on ahead. I'll be there soon." Natsu responded. Happy quickly grabbed a fish and flew to the guild. 'I can't believe it! It's Lucy's birthday!' The salamander thought to himself. Today was July 1st-Lucy's birthday. Since the stellar mages mother, Layla Heartfilia, passed away, to her fathers opinion, the blondes birthday was a good opportunity to invest in business. Every year she was surrounded by strangers, her fathers friends, or business workers. 'Not this year! I'll make sure she has the best birthday ever!' Natsu walked over to the bathroom and looked at himself in the mirror. The dragon slayer quickly showered, brushed his teeth, and got dressed in his normal clothes. Then, he got the present he got for Lucy and headed towards the guild he loved, Fairy Tail. Lucy woke up that morning not so happy. 'Today's the day. My birthday.' The blonde sighed and looked out her window and smiled. The view never got old-the river right outside her apartment, the people happily walking down the street, and the birds singing. Lucy smiled to herself and got up to take a shower. No one knew when her birthday was, or so she thought, so she took a shower and wrapped a towel around her perfect body. Her red and yellow top went down to mid-stomach with black lace along the sides. Her skirt was black with yellow and red stripes down the sides, and went down a little above her mid-thigh- making her all the more sexy. "I'll go to the guild later." The blonde said to herself. Lucy cooked some breakfast and brushed her teeth. Little did she know, Natsu  climbed in through her window. Lucy sighed once more and sat at her desk to write another chapter of her latest novel, "A Princesses Dream". The pinkette, still to be found in the blondes apartment, snuck up behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist and whispered "Boo" into her ear-making her scream and fall out of her chair. "Natsu! What are you doing here?! Are you trying to give me a heart attack?!" Natsu laughed in response and helped the blonde up. "I just wanted to see you!" Natsu said while Lucy pushed him him. "You see me every day and how many times must I tell you to use the door?"
"Well, today's a special day!" Lucy gave Natsu a confused look. "What's today?" She questioned. "It's your birthday, you weirdo! " Lucy's eyes widened in surprise. "How did you find out about that?! I never told anyone... "
"Like I wouldn't find out when my best friend birthday was!" Natsu reached inside his pocket and grabbed a small box and gave it to Lucy. "What's this? " Lucy asked looking at the box. "Open it. " Lucy did as she was told and opened the little box. The blonde gasped. "Like it?" Natsu smiled as he saw Lucy look in amazement at her present. "Wha... I mean... Just... Wow!" Lucy took out the small object. The blonde smiled, while holding up a small, silver heart shaped locket. "Natsu, it's beautiful! Thank you!!!" Lucy hugged her best friend. "Open it." Doing as she was told, the stellar mage open the locket. Inside, it started glowing. A picture of Natsu, Lucy and Happy was inside. "Natsu..." The blonde, now in tears, re-hugged the pinkette. "How much did this cost? I'll pay you back." Natsu chuckled. "It's a birthday present! You don't need to pay me back." Lucy smiled and continue to look in awe at the locket. "Come on, we'll be late!" Natsu grabs Lucy's hand and hops out of the window. Never being dragged out of her house through her second floor window before, Lucy screamed. Expecting a hard impact with the cobblestone pathway, Lucy closed her eyes, but the hit never came. Slowly, the celestial mage opened her eyes to see herself in the arms of Natsu, causing her to blush. "We could've use the door you know. You can put me down now. Anyway where we going?" The blonde asked still pink. "The window is more fun, I'm not putting you down, and you'll see where we're going soon. "
