Chapter 13

Zeref teleported both himself & Yajima to the magic council. "And where would Natsu be?" The elder council member asked in a meanish tone. "He'll be a minute. It takes a while to fly from the docks to the council building. Flying takes longer than teleporting." Yajima groaned to himself. After about 5 minutes, Natsu was in sight. "Yajima, he's here." Zeref said as Natsu landed next to his brother. "Finally! Follow me."
'What's his problem?' Natsu thought to himself. Zeref rolled his eyes & proceeded to follow the old man down the hallway. "We're here." Yajima pushed 2 big, heavy doors open. Inside, the rest of the council members were sitting at an oval table. The current leader, Draculos Hyberion, stood up from his seat at the head of the table. "We only need you two to become council members. To have your sworn dedication, to make sure you two don't turn on us & cause another war. "Mr. Draculos, I never wanted that war." "Then why did you start it?"
"I was angry. The magic council killed my family. How would you feel if I killed your whole family & was forced into exile?" Draculos sighed. "Alright, I won't mention it again. Here, I need both of you to place your left hand on this book & raise the other." The brothers did as they were told & put their left hand of the book & the right hand in the air. Natsu, you'll go first. "Repeat what I say." Draculos cleared his throat. "I solemnly swear that I state your name."
"I solemnly swear that I, Natsu Dragneel"
"Will always stay loyal to the magic, council."
"Will always stay loyal to the magic council."
"And I will protect the kingdom of Fiore."

"Congratulations you, Natsu Dragneel, are now a magic council member." The other members clapped & Draculos did the same ritual to Zeref, now a council member. 3-4 hours passed by when Natsu & Zeref could finally leave. "I can't believe I'm a magic council member..." Zeref sulked. "You're not the only one depressed bout it! Besides, we would be dead right now if we didn't agree."
"Yea, I know. And Lucy would've had a hard time coping with your death & the baby." Zeref smiled. "I can't wait to become an uncle!"
"Geez, you're starting to sound like Lucy's friend, Levy. All exited about the baby more than we are."
"Can you blame me? I'm getting a niece or nephew!"
"And I'm gettin a son or daughter!" Natsu sarcastically said. "I need to jet a job... I'm not going to live with you and Lucy for much longer..." Natsu & Zeref returned to the guild, making sure to keep their whereabouts from the fans of the Salamander. "We're back!" Natsu shouted to his beloved guild. "Natsu & Zeref ar back! Let's start the party already!" Master Makarov drunkly said. "Yea!" The guild responded. Natsu walked over to Lucy. "How was the council? What'd you do?" The blonde curiously asked. "It was fine. Me & Zeref had to become council members & give Draclous our sworn commitment."
"Council members?! How wonderful, congratulations!" Lucy hugged her husband. "It's not wonderful if you don't wanna do it..." Natsu sulked.
