Batman and Robin sit side to side in the Batmobile, both of their eyes peeled for any suspicious activity. They pull into an alley and hop out.

"Wait here." Batman says. With a huff his sidekick replies, "Fine. S'all I'm good for anyway."

The larger man shoots his ward one of his famous Bat-Glares as a warning, before entering the passage.

Inside, the foul stench of mildew and burning rubber fills the air. Batman resists the urge to gag from the stench as he makes his way down the dark corridor.

About twenty feet in, he begins to hear voices. Some of them are familiar, others are from people Bruce has never heard, probably in their mid to late thirties; however, all of them are male.

"Well, you think 'e's gonna tell 'im?" One of the voices asks. "Course not! I think we've scared 'im pretty good!"

"'Ey boss," one asks. "Whaddo you think?" The Scarecrow's gravely voice travels quietly across the room. "I think you all need to SHUT UP AND LET ME GET THIS DONE!"

The men all slink down, quickly closing their mouths as Scarecrow gets back to his work.

"Crane." Comes a deep voice, sweeping across the room. All of the men jump startled, and turn to see the Dark Knight standing in the doorway.

"It's the Bat!" One of them yells. "Batman! Run!" Screams another.

The men topple over each other in an attempt to escape. Some fall directly to the floor, while others trample them, scurrying to the door.

"It seems that Mister Wayne decided to tell his friend about our little talk earlier. I may have to pay him a visit." Scarecrow cackles, then he turns and makes a break for the door behind him.

Batman reaches his hand toward his earpiece, pressing a button before speaking. "Robin, take care of the henchmen in here."

Within seconds, the Boy Wonder has made his way into the room, filled with excitement at the sudden burst of action.

"Stay here." Batman says with a stern face.

"But-"

"Stay. Here. And do not follow me."

Robin sighs, and kicks a thug in the face, sending him spiraling back into another.

Batman makes his way toward the door from which Scarecrow had escaped, and pushes his way through.

Behind the door is another long, dark hallway. "Scarecrow!" Bruce calls down the corridor. In the distance, he can make out a faint, echoing laugh.

Batman races around the corner at the end of the hallway, and sprints to where the Scarecrow awaits.

"What do you have planned, Crane?" Bruce demands. His voice is low, and grumbles with ferocity. It is enough to strike fear into most people, but Scarecrow is not most people. He stands firm, unmoving. He may seem unaffected, but in reality, his mind races.

"Wouldn't you just love to know, Bats?" He teases. He's searching for the right words to say. Something, anything to get rid of the Bat now. Anything to lure him into the trap...

Batman narrows his eyes at his hessian covered fiend, intimidation setting in.

Just a bit longer. A few more seconds, a minute at most, and Batman would be finished.

"Batman!" Robin shouts from the other room. In just a second, Bruce makes the mistake of turning to look at his ward.

An explosion sends him backwards, crashing into one of the many stone walls around him. "Robin!" Bruce yells, frantically. "Robin! Ro-... bin?" Bruce's head is spinning. He doesn't feel like he's in the underground warehouse anymore. No, this seems... familiar.
