It's been two weeks. The news programs about Gotham's "New Couple" haven't stopped. Nor have the seemingly infinite crowd of reporters constantly crowding around the manor. Dick currently struggles to evade the continuous questions and prodding and all he wants to do is get inside.
School has been a hassle lately, and his days have only gotten worse, having to wrestle with journalists just to get to the front door of his own home. It's exhausting. So when he finally gets inside, when he finally throws his bag on the ground and races to the cave, he feels free for the first time in weeks.
He slides down the railing, not acknowledging the warning his mentor gives when he reaches the bottom. "Can we go out now?!"
"Dick, it's barely 5, can't you wait? Don't you have homework to do?"
"I need a break from school! Isn't there some sneaking around we can do? Investigations? Something?!"
Bruce sighs and pinches the bridge of his nose. "Fine. Go get changed."
The tiny acrobat bounces in his shoes and races off to ready himself for a night of crime fighting.
"I thought you stopped getting the sugar cereals?" Clark walks down the stairs and plants a kiss on the back of Bruce's neck.
"I did."
"Then what's he so hyper for?"
"Who knows. We're about to head out."
"Now?? It's early..."
"Yeah, well, you know Dick"
Almost on cue, the the boy wonder hops out, bouncing from the hood of the Batmobile, to the banister, and in front of the two heroes. "Let's go!!" he cartwheels away.

An hour later, Batman is in a fist fight with plant-like henchmen, and Robin is racing his way up garden stairs, his feet and hands getting trapped in roots then entire way up.
When he reaches the top, Poison Ivy is waiting for him. "Well, Boy Wonder, it seems you have the intelligence to just ignore my guards. They're mostly just there for intimidation..... I have no idea why the Bat has been fighting with them for as long as he has...."
Duck scrunches up his face "What's that smell??"
"New pheromones. I suppose it's a safe assumption to say that they don't go over too well on humans then?"
Robin rolls his eyes--as if she'd be able to see that, but he hoped the head movement would be enough--and lunges at her, tackling her off if her high throne.
"You little brat!" Ivy grabs Robin's face and squishes his cheeks in her hands. "I'll show you not to mess with women!"
And she kisses him. Not deep, nor passionate. Not much of anything, as she realizes he's young, but enough to breathe her spores down his throat; force him to respond to her every command with utmost importance... and leave him slightly distracted in the process.
Robin stumbles backward and swats slightly. "Now," Ivy says, "go take care of Batman..."
Duck nods, ever so slightly, before smirking his little, 'you thought you'd won, but I have more tricks than you do' grin.
Ivy steps back in shock and disappointment. "How-"
"This is the same one you used last time, and B already had an antidote! Come on, Ivy, step up your game!"
She snarls and slaps him back with her hand. "You disrespectful little-... How about I try a new one then? Try it on your little guard dog down there...."
