"What about a baby?" Clark asks.

Since the cat incident, he's been trying to convince Bruce to get some type of pet. Dogs, pigs, cows, and birds have all been on the list, but now a baby? Was Clark insane?

"No," Bruce replied, and it was his reply to every silly question that Clark had asked. It was at this answer, however, that Clark seemed to get especially discouraged.

Had he really wanted to have a child with Bruce? They'd only been dating, if you'd even call it that, for a few weeks. Clark had spent his fair share of nights at the manor, but nothing major had happened. They'd gone on patrol together a few times as well, but one would hardly call that a date.

"Clark, why do you want a baby?" Bruce asks. Across from him, Clark shrugs sheepishly, and all but shoves another fry into his mouth.

"You ever think of having one? One of your own, I mean."

Bruce gets a steely gaze in his eyes as he stares down Clark. "Of course I've thought about it," he says.

"And?" Clark glances up from his food.

"And I'm not having a child." Bruce practically snaps back. He can't understand why he's getting so overly upset about this.
"Is it because of work?" Clark asks. "Or... The other work?"

Bruce only shakes his head. "Change the subject, Clark. This is our first real date. I wanted it to go nicely."

Clark smiles back, beaming his inhumanly perfect teeth toward Bruce. "It is going nicely. I love this. Although, it is a bit much for my taste..."

Bruce can't help but grin, seeing Clark in front of him. "You'd better get used to things like this, Clark" he says, "if you want to continue dating me."

All Clark wants to do is lean over and kiss him. To press their lips against each other and seal their love. But Bruce, he wants to keep all of this a secret from the public, at least for the time being. So for now, Clark will just have to deal with restraining himself whenever someone's around, no matter how difficult it may seem at that moment. He'd do anything to please Bruce.

"Cookies!" M'gann calls. She's trying out a new recipe and really wants the Team to try it.

"Thank you, beautiful." Wally zips up to snatch a cookie from the tray, before sending a wink M'gann's way.

"Leave her alone, Baywatch." Artemis complains. She snacks the back of Wally's head with a noticeable 'pop'.

"Hey 'Mis?" Robin pipes up, walking into the cave's kitchen, "can you try not to kill him?"

Artemis can only roll her eyes at the boys and cross her arms in frustration.

Robin and Conner both grab cookies from the tray and take a bite, Robin hopping up to sit on the counter.

"I think these may be the best yet, babe," Wally attempts at a flirt.

Conner, as annoyed as he is, agrees. Robin would too, if he weren't preoccupied with the itching at the back of his throat.

He'd felt it before, he knew, it was just then when and why that he couldn't remember. He begins to cough, trying to soothe the itching. He covers his mouth with his arm, and realizes, from the rash, what is wrong.

"Hey, M'gann?" Dick asks, his voice raspy. "These didn't have cinnamon in them, right?"

The Team all turns to look at their youngest member, confused at the bright red colour of his face. "Yes..." M'gann nods, "they had cinnamon. Along with milk, sugar, some chocolate-"
