' i don't mind , no I don't mind , I don't mind the rain..'
I stare up at the ceiling , impatiently waiting for a call from Josh . He was currently in LA , visiting his cousins.
I miss him .
right before i drift off , my phone rings . I jump up , falling off my bed and into the floor . I ignore the pain and grab my phone , answering quickly .
"Hello?"
"Hey Ty"
I smile when i hear his voice .
"Jishwa , how's LA?"
"Alright , very hot . a lot different than Ohio."
"are you having fun?"
"Yeah , i wish you were here though. It'd be so much more fun."
"It's pretty lonely here" I laugh .
"I'll be back in two days , don't worry."
before i can answer back , i hear someone in the background saying "Come on josh!" and Josh sighs.
"I've gotta go , my cousins and I are about to go see the hollywood sign. I'll call you later or tomorrow, okay?"
"Okay.." I say , sadly.
"Don't do anything you'll regret. You can make it two more days." He says.
"Okay , I won't let you down."
and just like that , the phone call ended .

*Two days later*
My annoying alarm clock goes off at 3 am , Josh's flight should be in by 4:30 or 5 .
I groan and turn it off , slowly getting up and getting ready . I throw on a pair of sweatpants and a t shirt , I grab my black vans and slip them on .
I walk into my bathroom , fixing my bed head . After feeling a little bit satisfied with it , I stop fixing it before I end up hating it .
I grab my phone off the charger and my car keys from my nightstand .
I'm so excited for Josh to be back , its been really lonely here and rainy . I love rain , but only when he's here.
rain has always made me feel so alone and more depressed than i am , but somehow josh has found a way to turn it into something great .
if it was raining one day and he could tell i was becoming more sad , he'd drag me outside and make me dance with him . or we'd cuddle and listen to the rain hitting the roof , you might think its weird . but its not , at least not for us .
I step outside into the chilly night , walking slowly over to my car and getting in . I start the car and turn the heat on , as i sit there waiting for the car to heat up a little before i drive off , i hear the sound of someone talking on the radio .
i turn it up , just being curious because it sounded like an emergency.
"A plane crashed near 'Port Columbus International Airport'.So far no survivors , we will keep everyone updated."
My mind goes blank .
Then all my worries come back .
"What if it was josh's flight?" "What if josh died?" "He died"
I back out of my driveway quickly , speeding to the airport.
I get there , park and run inside , trying to find someone who can tell me what flight crashed .
I find a lady and say
"Excuse me??"
"Yes?" She stops and turns around.
"Do you know what flight crashed?" I say , out of breath from running .
"I believe it was flight 119"
that sounded familiar to josh's , but i wasn't sure .
I run my hand through my hair then I find a bench and sit down , trying not to break down . I grab my phone and see a text from josh from about 45 mins ago .
"We had to stop at some airport in Indiana because of a plane crash , it'll probably be another hour before we even get back in the air."
I sigh in relief . Then i text him back
"Okay , I'm at the airport though but I'll just stay here . I'm glad you're okay , I thought it was your flight that crashed."
I hit send then stand up , walking around the almost empty airport . There were a few people here , janitors mostly .
I find a vending machine with redbull in it . Thank god . I pull my wallet out and grab a dollar .
I get my redbull then walk back outside to see its raining . great .
I sigh and walk back inside . I take a seat on the bench where i was and wait for josh to arrive .

"Excuse me , sir?"
I jump up , looking around confused .
I look over at the person and they say
"I'm sorry , but you can't sleep here."
I stand up , apologizing . I grab my phone , checking the time . It's almost 5 am .
I guess I fell asleep waiting for josh . I walk around , then see his familiar face . I smile and he sees me . We run towards each other , engulfing each other in a tight hug when we finally meet .
I breath in his scent , feeling safe in his arms . He says
"Ahh Ty , I missed you!"
I smile , then say
"I missed you too josh."
We hug for a little longer , then let go . I pick up one of josh's bags and we walk outside together , its still raining .
Josh says
"Oh hey , i missed the rain!"
I sigh and walk towards my car quickly , I throw his stuff into the backseat and get in . josh does the same and once he's in , I start the car and back out of the parking spot .
we drive home in silence .
once back at my house , i help josh bring his stuff in and upstairs to my room .
he sets his stuff down beside my door and collapses onto my bed , sighing . he says
"im so tired"
"go to sleep then , silly." i say , laughing .
"sing to me?"
I nod , laying down beside him . i begin singing 'Before you start your day' and by the second chorus , josh is asleep .
i leave him alone to sleep and i go to my hideaway to write . i write the best when im very tired .
