The car finally slowed down and came to a halt. I took a deep breath and opened the car's door carefully.

Dragging my luggage along, I stepped into the apartment's foyer. Ready to embrace my new home.

"Sa-- Uh-- Millie."
Beatrice called. Rolling down the car's window so we could see each other.

"Yea?" I said turning around to see her.

She swallowed hard, avoided my gaze and looked at the steering wheel. Playing her fingers through it like a drum.

My brows knitting, curious of her actions.

"Are you okay?" I asked slightly concerned. I'm still not used of the fact that she is my sister. I don't have any memory of her to look up and play back in my head. She's still a stranger to me.

She took a lungful of breath, composed herself, and stared directly into my eyes.

I was taken aback. Her eyes were glassy and sad.

"I'm.. I'm so sorry." She sobbed, her shoulders are shaking uncontrollably. I was still in shocked and I can't move my feet.

I tried to reached her by raising my hand but she stopped me.

"No, don't." She squeaked. Wiping her tears away with her trembling hand.

"Don't come near me." She sniffed.

"What are you sorry for?" I was surprised that I managed to asked that without stuttering.

"You will know what.." She trailed off. Looking at me with her blue orbs. There is something she want to tell me but hesitated.

"Maybe in the right time. Please forgive me." She gave me a small smile and with that she left.

I was like a statue standing there with my mouth hanging open. My mind were blank.

After a while of staring blanky on the road where she disappeared, I moved my feet and opened the door.

"Hello there." A girl which I think in her mid 30's greeted me with a warm smile plastered on her face.

I nodded in response and was about to go but then she spoke again.

"You're Millie, right?" She asked, still smiling.

"Uh, yea?" I said. Confused.

She smiled and before I could ask why she knows my name, she gets something and showed it to me. It's my picture with my sister in it.

Beatrice.

"Your sister told me that when you arrived, I will give this key. It is a key to your room." She handed me the key and smiled.

She seems nice or maybe she just being careful not to be rude because of what happened to me. Maybe she's sorry I can see it through her eyes.

I smiled bitterly at the taught and got the key.

"Thanks." I murmured.

I looked at it. It says room 214.

Luckily, I found the elevator and slipped in.
