Chapter 6: Mystery Under The Sea

(Maikha's Pov)

I flipped the page of the book I'm reading right now. I scratch the part of my skin that been bite by the mosquito earlier, now I was in a Christmas vacation with my dad and my brother. 1 and a half weeks before Christmas and mom will come home, but now me dad and Ciel here in this island dad wanted to camp here.

It's almost a month after we receive this gift but Sascha and Nia think this gift is a cursed. They both always complain about it and they...I mean we try to find the cure but no luck at all. Sascha and Nia are on vacation too together with their family for this weekend. Sascha and her father are going to her grandmother's house in Los Angeles and Nia is with her family too they are going to some resort. While me and dad are here in this random island her chose to camp and stay for 4 days in our aunt's house that near this island.

Ciel and dad are busy building their tent and me I'm just reading my Favorite book, Percy Jackson. This book is awesome and great. I already finished my tent so I just here relaxing.

"Maikha can you help us" Ciel said while paying me no attention

"I'm already done so no need" I said and go back reading.

He rolled his eyes "But I need help for this another tent"

"It's yours, own work" I said

He signed and just ignore me to continue building his tent. Urgh now I'm bored and there's nothing awesome happening here, maybe I should swim for a while, Nah it's not dawn yet maybe I should wait for a while to swim with my tail. I giggled to the thought of swimming in the sea. Because I live in a city so it's rare for me to swim to a wide place where my tail will fit in and not in the bad tub where I can't even try to swim and not also to the pool outside on our backyard because it's so public and I know Nia will definitely give me a lecture about not too if she find out about that.

I just read again until the time come for my tail to grow.

"Dad I'm going to camp in the shoreline" I said to dad whose busy putting together the pile of wood he picked up.

"Wait why at the shoreline?" Dad asked

"Because I want to....see the sea" I reasoned and hoping he will believe me.

"Oh okay, Ciel go with her" dad said and go back to the rain forest.

I just ignore Ciel and walk to the way where the shore is

"Where do you think you're going?" He asked
I didn't answer, the night drift instantly that I never see that my tail will grow soon. Ciel look at me with the look he knows that I need to swim. I nodded and as the moon risen up in the sky I dive in the sea water and as my tail appears I swim away from the shore and find a place where no one can see me in this situation.

I swim for almost 5 minutes in the water and reach the near deep sea when what caught my attention is a stone. With a surface of smooth texture and color of mix black and silver.

I swam and feel the texture it has but gasp when I felt heartbeat in my palms. I suddenly withdrawn my hand and stare to it as it seems it's alive.

I swim away slightly and take a good look to he stone in front of me. But my eyes widen in shock when I heard a small whisper in my head. Saying the word...

"Hale"
