Chapter Five

I'm walking in the woods of Mystic Falls when I come to an abandoned building. Being the curious little demi-god I am I walk up to it. I feel something inside the house, so I enter.

Once I'm inside I hear voices, whispering, they're too low and to fast for me to even catch a glimpse of what they're saying. Some invisible force was pulling me to the next room, so I go in.

In the room the whispers get louder, the deeper into the room I go the louder it gets. I come upon a a brown decaying door in the corner of the room and open it. Whatever pulled me to come into this house, is down the steps that are through this door.

Walking down the stairs, the whispers get louder, and louder and louder. In the basement are four coffins. The fourth and final coffin which is at the back of the room is calling me. I'm so focused on the coffin I don't notice the witch in front of me.

I run into her and we stumble, "Who are you?" She asks me. I recognize her as the witch from the first day of school and the witch from when Caroline helped me kill those vampires.

"Marina Kersey. You?"

"Bonnie Bennett," she tells me.

"Well Bonnie is it just me or is that fourth coffin calling to you, too."

She nods and we walk towards the coffin, "You're a witch?" she asks me.

"I'm a hybrid, witch and werewolf. But, I haven't activated the werewolf curse yet and I don't ever plan on it."

"Why not?"

"I don't kill innocents," I tell her as we reach the coffin. We look at each other for reassurance and open it to find Niklaus, "Why is Niklaus in a coffin?" she just shakes her head.

I notice her staring intently at something in his hand. I look at it and see a necklace with a red gem in the top. She reaches for it and almost has it when one of the other three coffins open. Both of our heads snap towards the coffin and.......

I wake up panting with a cold sweat. I look around and notice I'm still in my room. I'm still breathing heavily and I place a hand over my heart. Slowly, I get outta bed and go to the bathroom and take a shower.

After washing up I walk into my room completely dry and with a towel around myself. I get changed into an orange Camp Half-Blood shirt, black denim shorts and galaxy vans. I grab Hurricane and my phone and put them in my pockets. I put my hair in a high ponytail and leave my home, grabbing my car keys and a grimoire on the way out.

I put my keys in my pocket and walk downstairs and outside. Walking across the street I end up at the grill. Right when I get inside I notice Elena and another witch. I walk over to them and listen in on their conversation, "I feel like I'm going crazy," Elena starts, "I'm totally paranoid all the time."

The witch across from her starts, "You have a right to be. Klaus is still out there and he knows you tried to kill him."

Then I decide to walk over to Elena, "Hey, Elena you okay, you look like Hades," she looks at me confused for a second.

"Yeah, I'm fine, Marina. Sit, please," she asks I nod and sit down. I look over at the witch and my breath gets caught in my throat, so does hers.

"Why hasn't Klaus made a move?" Elena starts, and I mean, she has a point. She tried to kill him, "There's been no sign of him, nothing. Just my slow spiral into insanity."

"Join the club," me and Bonnie say at the same time, "Every Time I close my eyes, I have that nightmare. On repeat."

"The same dream?" Elena asks.
