I was walking around the streets of Mystic Falls when I saw a cool store. I take a sip of my latte as I walk in and I put my sunglasses on top of my head. They successfully keep my black hair out of my face. I'm wearing a blue knit sweater with a pink tank top underneath, dark grey jeans, and grey heeled ankle boots.
Hurricane is in my brown leather purse that hangs on my side. My monster proof phone is in there as well. I have my ring on my left middle finger, and the bracelet I got yesterday from Hades and Dad is still on my wrist, considering I can't take it off.
I explore the isles of the thrift store until I come upon something interesting. It was a clay plaque that looked ancient. There were strange designs on the outside. It transitioned from waves to a crescent moon. On the plaque was a passage, written, in what I think is, Latin.
Why Latin? I have no idea. But, on the top of the passage, right before the words start is a horizontal trident. It's also at the end of the passage. I don't know the translation of the passage, but in Latin, it's:
"In urbem Crescent
filia oportet vagari
et tueri lupus cum stantibus nullum
domicilium.
Ope scenes cum iunioribustueri et donum meum.
Spawn maris
requiescat in pace
Erat autem puella solum"I'll have to find out what it means. But, sadly, I'll have to do that later, since Rebekah decided to show up, "Hey, Greeky," I snort in amusement. She's been using the nickname more, since I've told her about being a demigod.
"Diva," I smile at her, "What brings you to this lowly thrift shop?"
"I was looking for you, of course," she smiles at me.
"Mhmm," I take another sip of my drink, "What for?"
She gives me an innocent look, "Am I not allowed to visit my best friend, for no reason."
"You're you, so, no," I smirk at her.
"Fine," she huffs out, "I need your help."
"Help with what?" I narrow my eyes at her.
She looks at me pleadingly, "Finding the only thing that can kill me and my family."
"I figured you want at least Finn or Kol, maybe even Nik dead," I say, "You gonna kill one of them? 'Cause, I've grown to like Kol -as a friend- and Nik is a friend as well. But, me being me, I'm not allowed to say that you should kill someone."
"Why's that?"
"I'd be turning into my Drama Queen uncle," I smirk at her and hold up three fingers, slowly counting down. When all my fingers are down, thunder rumbles in the distance, "See?"
She huffs out, "Well, either way, I don't plan on killing any of my siblings-"
"Yet," I interrupt.
"But, the white oak wood is out there somewhere and I want it out of the picture," she looks determined.
I study her face, and quickly agree, "Okay. So all we have to do is find a white oak tree."
"Actually," she scratches the back of her neck, "It's been cut down and used on something in Mystic Falls."
"Of course it has," I mumble as I narrow my eyes at the ceiling, practically feeling Zeus laughing at my expense, "Where we off to?"
Bekah smiles thankfully at me, "The bridge, they're rebuilding it and we need to talk to Mayor Lockwood."
I hold my arm out for her to take. She links it with her, and before I vapor travel us to the bridge I say, "Off to Carol," with that we turn to vapor and reappear in the woods just by the Wickery Bridge.
