CHAPTER IX

Katie's POV

When I opened my eyes I found myself in my room, in my bed. How did I got here? The last thing i remember is taking the blade and put it on my wrist. I used to cut myself. I don't know why I did it again, but it felt good. I sat up and examined my arms. Bandages. I look around and notice a sleeping Lucy on my bed.

Hayley walks in the room and notices that i'm awake. She whispear "Lucy had a major panic attack after we found you and we needed to put her to sleep. She needs to rest so I'll take her to her room so we can talk about what happened. We may not know each other that well, but I care Katie" I nod not wanting to wake Lucy up.

Hayley took Lucy in her arms and left the room. I stayed there thinking about everything. I didn't want to hurt anyone, just myself. Lucy had a panic attack because of me. I feel so bad about it. I stared at my arms and didn't noticed that Hayley came back and sat next to me.

"Hey" she said softly. I couldn't look at her, not after what I did to Lucy."I know what you're thinking and it's not yout fault that Lucy had a panic attack. The stress and the lack of sleep were going to catch up with her soon...She cares about you a lot and would do anything to know that you're okay. She was scared she'll lose you Katie..."

I looked at her, tears running down my face "I had no choice. I didn't want to do it, but things are really bad right now and all I wanted was a way to escape"

Hayley hugged me. "You should have talked to us. We would have tried to help you. We love you Katie and we will be there for you no matter what. I promise."

"I know and I'm sorry. I would like to talk to someone about my problems now." I was scared, but I needed help.

"I'm here to listen Katie" she said letting me go from her hug.

I didn't knew where to start, but something came in my mind as I was thinking about everything that happened. "Hayle can I ask you something before I tell you my problems?"

"You can ask me anything" she was so opened

"How goes that I'm not in a hospital? I mean it's not like I'd like to be in one, but the bandages are put so well and it would have been impossible for someone who is not a nurse or a doctor to put it like this"

Hayley smiled "I have a friend who's a doctor and asked him for a favor. He came here and made surr you're okay. Lucy's panic attack was intense and he gave her a shot to calm her down. Before falling asleep she made me promise to take care of you while she's out"

I didn't knew what to say. I took a deep breath and start telling her about everything: how I met Amber, how I'm falling for her, how Jasmine broke my heart, how she blackmails me, what she tried to do, everything.

Hayley stayed silent a few minutes than she said "Do you want me to tell Lucy or you want to tell her yourself? I can do it if you want, but if she wants to talk to you about what happened you have to talk to her"

Thank you" was the only thing I could say. "Could I get some rest? I promise I'll just stay in bed."

"Sure" she said leaving. It was nice thinking that Lucy has someone so carring. As I was staying there my thought were stolen by one person only.
