A/N: Hey guys! There is more friendship fluff in this chapter rather than Spezra fluff (but trust me there is some Spezra fluff), so sorry about that. But the girls need to be friends for something huge in the next chapter :) Hope you enjoy and remember to review.

"Ezra." Spencer said. Her eyes widened and breath was hitched. Ezra was wearing a black suit and he had his dark hair slicked back. His hands were in his pockets.

"Spencer. What are you doing here?" Ezra said looking slightly surprised. When he said her name, she felt a spark. He said it like it meant something. Spencer was about to blurt out everything, but then she remembered she had to put up some walls. She told herself she was no longer involved with Ezra. Their final interaction alone should have been in his apartment.

"I could say the same for you." She said and folded her arms. Ouch. That came out harsher than she expected. Ezra awkwardly shifted towards the window.

"I... heard about what happened and I decided to pay my respects." Ezra said. Silence. Suddenly, a few moments later Spencer realised that she was supposed to tell him why she was at Ali's funeral. She would've told Ezra that she was also there to just pay respects, but she had a feeling that he would see through her lie. God, her walls already felt like they were being smashed.

"She was my best friend. The day I met you was the anniversary of her disappearance." Spencer felt someone's hand tightening around her neck, so she stopped. That didn't feel too bad. Ezra nodded.

"I'm so sorry." He said. Flashbacks of Alison entered her mind. She remembered when she rigged the class president voting so she would win. At the time, she thought Alison was just being a good friend. But really Spencer was just a part of Alison's game. So was Hanna, Emily and Aria. She looked up at Ezra. Her eyes became watery. She wasn't going to cry in front of him. Then she remembered something. She was allowed to cry and be miserable. Her best friend is dead and she's at her funeral.

"It's just still too fresh." Spencer managed weakly. "I thought she was- "

"Still alive." Ezra finished for her. Spencer was surprised he understood. He wasn't as broken and miserable as her. Maybe she was an open book. But if that was true, her own family would notice she was drowning.

Ezra leaned in closer to Spencer and wrapped his hands around her back. At first she was startled and then she slowly rested her head onto his chest and placed her arms on his shoulders. She felt less tense and felt like all the pain was blocked away. She felt safe and warm in his strong arms. He closed his eyes.

"We're crazy." He muttered faintly.

"Tell me about it." Spencer whispered back grinning, pulling away from Ezra. She looked at her watch. The ceremony was about to start. At least she felt slightly better than before. "Thank you. I really needed that today."

Spencer hesitated. Was she... going to start something with him? Despite '-A'? Despite her being his student? Despite everything?

Ezra furrowed his brows.

"What?" He asked. Spencer smiled.

"I...I'm sorry about yesterday. About when I yelled at you. That wasn't fair." Spencer said babbling.

"You were right." He said quietly.

"What?" Spencer said raising her eyebrows. The church bells chimed. "Oh my God. It's about to start." She took one long last look at Ezra and then ran down the stairs.

"Where were you?" Veronica hissed when she saw Spencer running down the steps and towards her.

"Bathroom." She replied quickly while combing her fingers through her hair. The ceremony hadn't properly started yet. People were still talking. Jessica Dilaurentis swiftly approached them.
