"Dean?"
Dean opened his eyes. They were in Cas' bed, closer than they remembered being when they went to sleep.
"C-Cas? What time is it?"
Cas looked at the clock. "7:00"
Dean shrugged. "At least it's a weekend. I can't believe that they made the first day on a Friday!"
Cas laughed. "I know! Anyway, do you want to make something to eat?"
Dean smiled. "Yeah, actually."
Cas sat up. "You like pancakes?"In the kitchen, Cas was running around picking things up every now and then. Once he had made a fairly large pile of bags and cartons, he started sorting them. Dean sighed. "Is that actually necessary?" Cas stared at him for a few seconds, then nodded.
After they were all sorted into small rows, he stood back, as though he was admiring the groups. "Good... Good..." He muttered to himself.
Dean helped Cas pour the dry ingredients into the measuring cups, which Cas turned out to be very bad at.
"Where's the flour?" Cas spun around in a circle, then picked it up and handed it to Dean, who measured out the proper amount.
Once everything was measured out, they had to crack the eggs. Cas tried to teach Dean how to crack them and not get any shell in the bowl. He hit it on the side, and pressed his thumbs to the side to keep the eggshells from falling in.
After that, Cas picked up the beater and plugged it into the socket. "Dean, you can help."
They stuck it into the bowl and turned it on. A bit of the batter splattered onto their faces, but they truly didn't care.
At least it was fun.
Really fun.
