Star and Marco fanfic: More than friends

Chapter 1

One morning in the Diaz household, Star and Marco sat side by side in the kitchen eating their breakfast.

"I never knew earth food could be so...amazing!" Star exclaimed.

"Yup," replied Marco, "pancakes are the best."

Star didn't really hear him for she was lost in the taste of the delicious chocolate chip pancakes. Star was really interested in all things Earth. Since she lived on Mewni her whole life, her surroundings were new to her, but she loved everything.

Suddenly, there was a honking noise outside.

"Hurry Star! The bus is here!"

She ate her breakfast as fast as she could not wanting to waste the deliciousness and raced out the door with her best friend.

"Bye ma!" Marco called to his Mother.

"Bye Mrs.Diaz!" Star yelled waving.

On the bus ride there, Star was as happy as can be. She was saying to Marco how she felt like today was going to be a great day. She was bouncing in her seat. Marco let out a little laugh. He looked into Star's blue eyes that were full of joy and he smiled. Her blonde hair was being pulled back by her devil horn headband. It's true. She is beautiful. Marco blushed at the thought. He tried making conversation to let go of that thought.

Then Marco stopped. Jackie, his schoolgirl crush, was riding her skateboard beside the bus. She glanced over and waved to Marco and mouthed "Hi". Marco got nervous and waved back.

"OoooOoo!" Star said.

"What?"

"Things are getting pretty...friendly between you and Jackie, ay?" She said with a big grin on her face.

"Uh, y-yeah, I-I guess, I mean...." The Spanish boy stuttered.

Star giggled even more. Jackie was the coolest girl in school. She was pretty and really chill, and Marco liked her, but something was holding him back from wanting to be "more than friends" with Jackie. "what is wrong with you?" He thought.
