Star and Marco fanfic: More than friends

Chapter 4

Marco was pacing back and forth in his room. 

Marco's POV

I can't be in love with Star. She is a foreign exchange student. She's LIVING with me for the love of Pete, but...she is so amazing. Ugh, i need to sleep on it.

Reader's POV

The next day was Saturday. Star woke up with a great attitude. 

"Good morning Earth!" she shouted outside her window. "ahhhh." she sighed. She picked up a handful of lazer puppies and waltzed down stairs. She saw Marco making waffles. She smiled.

"Good morning Marco!" she said to him as she hopped on the counter next to where he was cooking.

He looked at her. "Morning Star!" he said to her and blushed slightly. 

Marco looked at her and she looked at him and their eyes met. Star gave a little grin and Marco blushed a lot. He turned away so she wouldn't see, but she could see it completely. Things were a little awkward. Jackie asked Marco to hang out the next day, so Star wanted Marco all to herself that day.

"Soooooo what do you wanna do today?" Star asked casually.

"I don't know. We could sit on the couch, watch tv, and eat nachos." he said in reply not looking directly at her. 

"Sounds like fun!" she exclaimed clapping her hands together.

All of a sudden, there was a loud boom outside. Both Star and Marco ran outside to see what caused the commotion. The 14 year old teens stopped in their tracks. Ludo and his "army" of monsters were ready to brawl. Star and Marco were ready to kick some butt. 

"Rainbow Attack shower!" yelled star using her magic wand. Marco used his karate skills. A big monster tried to claw at Star and gave her a gash on her cheek. 

"Star!" Marco yelled. Marco was furious. He attacked the monster and pounded him to the ground. After a tragic defeat, the monsters went home in shame, as always. 

"Well that was fun!" Marco said to Star.

Star looked at the ground and smiled slightly.

"Thank you, Marco, for saving me." she said and turned to him showing her injury on her left cheek.

"Star you're hurt. Lets go inside." he said putting his hand on her back to take her inside. She tensed up from the feeling of his gentle hand resting on her back and blushed. 

Marco sat Star down on his bed and went to his bathroom. He returned with disinfectant and bandages. He placed them down on the bed and put his hand on her chin to turn her head to the side.  Marco could feel her tense up.

"Just relax." He said in a soothing voice.

"W-will it hurt?" she asked hesitant.

He grinned at her. Star has never really been injured before and never had to dress a wound.

"It may sting a little." he grabbed her hand and kneeled down.

Star took a deep breath and he applied the disinfectant. She flinched away so Marco kept soothing her. Once that was over he applied a bandage over top. 

"That wasn't so bad." Star said meekly. 

They looked at each other. A blush creeped on Marco's cheeks. Star couldn't take it any longer. She bent down and pressed her lips to his.
