Unexpected Situations~

[Cassidy's POV]

"Bye Mom, Bye Aunt Sharon, Bye Jasmine, By Kenneth" I said in such a rush to get out of this house. I couldn't bare to spend one more minute in here and listen to Jasmine brag on about the things shes done, the famous people shes met, and the many beauty pageant's shes won in California. Believe me when I say I did my best to ignore her, I even had a conversation with Kenneth. But Jasmine had a problem with that and decided to embarrass me in front of everyone. How you may ask? She decided to ask me how many beauty pageants I won when she know's well I have never entered a beauty pageant. Beauty Pagent's in my opinion were degrading to woman trying to see who would come out on top as the prettiest female. Not only did they degrade woman but they lowered the self-esteem of other girls, like myself. Seeing all those gorgeous Woman on stage being envied and praised by everyone, and worshiped by every male then having to go look in the mirror and realizing there no were near as pretty as the girls they see on TV. Beauty Pageants always made me believe I lacked one thing: Beauty.

They all waved goodbye to me and wished me a good day as I found my way out of the house and into my parked Red Mustang. My mom was never really a fan of Mustangs [A/N: If you read any of my other stories, You'll see that I'm obsessed with Mustangs]  She always believed they were for people who lived their life like Fast and Furious, But after I talked to her she finally agreed to it and I received this as a birthday present last year. I hopped inside the seat and put the key in ignition and quickly found my way onto the road to school.

After a couple of red lights, right and left turns I was parking my car in an empty parking space at school. When I checked the time on iPhone I realized I was at school earlier then I usually was. I was in such a rush to get out of the house I didn't realize how early I left. As I took a look at the parking lot I realized only a few teachers were here and a couple of students who were here to serve detentions. I collected my stuff and threw them in my Messenger bag and got out of the car. I found my way inside the school and walked to my art room.

The hallways were empty except for the janitors cleaning, the teachers checking in and making there way to their classroom. Then there was me. I walked to my  locker and took out my sketch book I accidentally left. I had about 5 sketch book, currently, I have one 4 for my own pleasure and one for school. I decided, since I hadn't started it yet, to start off on my portrait of Ray right now so I wouldn't end up procrastinating like I usually do. After I retrieved my sketchbook I walked all the way to the other side of the school to the Art room. To my surprise Mrs. Free was sitting in her seat drawing something, which made sense considering she was the Art teacher.

"Ms. Brookes what a pleasure" She greeted me looking up from her drawing. I couldn't make out what it was, All I saw were lines and shapes.

"Hey Mrs. Free what are you doing here so early" I took a seat in the very first seat and settled down. School wouldn't be starting for another hour and a half and students wouldn't be arriving until another half hour.

"I think I should be asking you the same question"

"Wanted to get out of the house early, didn't know it was this early" I admitted.

She chuckled and pushed her glasses up the bridge of her now "Well I'm not always here early except for the fact that I had to administrate a detention this morning" She pointed in the back; I turned in my seat and to my surprise there was Melanie in the back. I bit my tongue doing my best not to laugh at the sight. Melanie wore a paint splattered apron and long yellow gloves as she cleaned paint brushes, washed out cups of paint, and scarped off bits of gum from under the desk. "Melanie thought it would be fun to chew gum in my classroom when she knows I have a strict no food or gum policy. So I thought it would be fun to make her scrape it all from under the desk" She smirked. If it wasn't for Melanie shooting daggers at the side of my head, I would have busted out laughing but I managed to keep it all in.
