Sans used his "short-cut" to get ahead of Frisk, carefully observing her movements before she approached him and Papyrus.
"...SANS?"
"yeah, bro?"
"I-Is... Is that a human?"
"I think that may be a rock."
"No!" Papyrus broke the usual skit "In front of the rock!"
"...Yep."
"OH MY GOD!"
Frisk smiled politely the whole way through, as if she were seeing old friends again. As if this was an old inside joke between the three of them.
Papyrus soon ran off but Frisk stood there, waiting for Sans to say something else.
"Uhh... Kiddo you got-" Sans started to mumble before being interrupted by the normally silent girl.
"Cut it out, Sans." She said quietly yet bluntly.
"...Cut what out? Tibia honest, you're acting a bit weird." Sans chuckled, trying to shrug off Frisk's sudden outburst.
"You remember me."
"I... Uh... Frisk?" Sans stuttered before mentioning that name.
She simply nodded "It's... It's really me this time."
Sans couldn't say anything, he simply ran up to Frisk and hugged her. The impact caused Frisk to have to take a step back but she remained upright, Sans's head was buried into her upper midriff as she was quite a bit taller than him. She simply rested her hand on his skull.
"So uh..." Sans spoke, his voice slightly muffled as his head was still against her stomach "Maybe you should continue with Papyrus, he still has to trick the human with his japes and traps."Frisk pushed back Sans lightly and nodded at him, quickly leaving him as she jogged off to experience more puzzles.
He felt like he was genuinely smiling, he wouldn't have to see her having a bad time once again.
(I'M SO SORRY IT TOOK ME SO LONG AND ITS SO SHORT BUT HEY, AT LEAST ITS FINALLY HERE.)
