Live like you'll die today

One day you'll be right

Porter's POV

I was making some mac and cheese when there was a loud bang at the door.

I open door to see the pack doctor.

"Umm hello?"

"Luna, may I come in?"

"Of course, of course."

Why is he here? Is this about Ross? Is he better? Worse?

"I don't mean to sound rude, but why are you here?"

"As you know Ross's condition seemed to stabilize."

"Yeah?"

Fear hollows out my bones.

"Turns out that the virus strictly started attacking his insides. Luna, I'm sorry to tell you this but he didn't make it."

A back away from him shaking my head.

"He can't be. He can't. No!" I fall to the floor in tears.

The pack doctor seems unsure as to what to do next, so he just leaves. Jeez real sympathetic.

Five minutes later J.T. walks in. With one look at me, he knew what had happened.

He pulls me across his lap and rocking me back and forth, rubbing my back.

"He's dead." I sob.

"I know."

I can tell that J.T. is trying to hold back tears of his own.

"The funeral is Wednesday morning." He says after a moment.

I cry myself to sleep like that, sitting on the floor in J.T.'s arms.

Sometime that night he had carried me up to our room and tucked me in.

A/N

I know this is a super short chapter but it is extremely important, though extremely sad.
