The group walked into the theme park in one horizontal line, like a barricade. When it was obvious they couldn't stay in that position, they moved off into three's and pairs.
Cat and Trevvy were talking about knives, and were certain they earned the status of serial killers, but paid no mind to bypassers who looked back when they heard the topic. Cat looked behind her when she heard Danielle and Allana giggle excessively.
"What're you guys upto this time?" Cat demanded.
Danielle feigned a shocked face, "We're never upto anything!"
"You're always upto something," Trevvy rolled her eyes, "Both of you."
They would've kept talking if Cat and Trevvy didn't crash into Rija and Myles.
Allana extended her neck to see around the collision. "Who died?"
"We found it!" Al cheered.
Danielle whooped and dashed to get tickets. The others mingled.
"Okay," Al took ahold of everyone's attention. "Rija's first. Then...?"
"I think Myles should be second," Allana suggested.
"What? What? No! No, no, I'll go middle."
"But I want to be middle," Trevvy whined.
"As long as I'm not last," Cat put in, "there're always things that chase you and stuff."
"Oh," Myles blinked. "Okay. Okay, I'll go second."
"I'll go third," Al said.
"Can I be in the middle?" Trevvy asked.
"Okay," Danielle came back and distributed the tickets. "We have to attend like a safety thing, but after that we can go inside. But the next one doesn't start until half an hour so we can roam around."
"Cool," Ryan grinned, "there was a guillotine I wanted to see."
"Do we want to split up and meet back here?" Danielle suggested.
"Nah, let's just all go," Rija said.
The group walked to the guillotine, with Ryan leading the way. He cheered when he saw there were barely any people in the line. When they neared it, he backed down.
"Okay, Myles, you go first," Ryan pushed him forward.
"What? No! No, you go, you wanted to do it."
"But I didn't want to do it, I just wanted to see."
"Al, you should do it," Myles offered his friend without remorse.
"No."
"It's not that bad, Al. I've done it in Australia. It's fun," Danielle comforted.
"But that's Australia."
"Exactly!"
Al rolled his eyes, "Fine." He made his way to the ticket booth and bought a ticket. Slowly, he walked towards the guillotine. He heard whoops and cheers of encouragement from his friends, but that didn't do anything to ease his fear of dying by the guillotine. He saw that there was a hole he had to put his head into, and nearly backed down.
"You can do this, Al!" Myles yelled.
Ryan clapped loudly, "Woooo!"
Rija was laughing at Al's expression, "Don't worry!"
"You won't die! I don't think!" Allana screamed.
Words of encouragement, my ass, Al thought. He knelt, and inserted his head into the hole. There was a mirror that allowed him to see the guillotine as it raised itself up. He watched in trepidation as it rose slowly to the top. His friends were muffled now, but he knew they were filming this. His fingers found the edge of the machine and gripped it tightly.
"He is so shitting himself," Danielle murmured to the group.
"That's why I'm recording it," Cat giggled. Trevvy stood behind her, switching between the video and the real thing.
The guillotine was finally at the top. Seconds passed before anything happened.
"Is it stuck?" Trevvy asked.
"No idea," Danielle answered.
Al frowned at the guillotine. It wasn't dropping. What if it just suddenly breaks the glass that encased his head? What if he will get decapitated? What if–
Then his head rolled off like a ball.
The group cheered and whooped. Danielle was laughing when he flinched and could clearly hear the "FUCK!" inside the machine. Myles and Cat were already rushing to greet him. Everybody else followed suit.
"What happened in there?" Rija asked.
"I died," Al claimed, rubbing his neck. "A rush of wind, like, came down on my neck and really scared the shit out of me. I think after that, I won't be scared of anything in the haunted house thing."
"He says that now," Danielle whispered to Allana, who snorted.
"I got it on film too," Cat said. "We'll look at it later. Where do we go now?"
"How about we just go to that museum thing?" Myles suggested, pointing towards a building. It had a big sign saying "Haunted Museum of the Dead". The group shrugged and headed towards it.
"Would there be like...decapitated heads?" Trevvy wondered.
"Then Al should be there," Ryan laughed and raced ahead to avoid a beating.

The group arrived five minutes late for the induction, but was lucky enough not to have missed anything because the instructor was late.
"Put that away," Danielle hissed at Allana.
"I'm mearly fwimished," Allana said through her chewing of chips. She immediately hid it when the instructor walked in the room.
"Okay guys. So, what we basically ask of you is to leave your belongings here. This is a safe room, so nothing and noone will come in and out of here unless it's me or the manager. Alright, you can have cameras in there, okay? And we suggest going in groups of either two or three just to–"
"Wait," Myles interrupted, "We can't go as a whole group?"
"You can, but it would be best if you walk in groups of two or three. Just not to crowd around everybody."
"Oh. Okay."
"Alright, drop your items off. We will start in five minutes, I just have to check in," With that, the instructor slid behind a door.
The group began to store away their belongings. Cat spoke up, "Should I bring my camera?"
"Nah, I got us covered," Danielle held the GoPro camera up. "Rija, can you help?"
"Sure, one second." The two worked together to attach the camera to a headband. Danielle slid it on, tweaked it, and was ready to go.
"Thanks."
"Okay guys," Trevvy clapped her hands for attention, "Diddly Doo Squad, assemble!"
Rija took the lead, followed by Myles, then Al, then Ryan, Trevvy, then Cat, with Allana and Danielle bringing up the rear.
The instructor came back inside and laughed as he saw the group's line. "Wow, you're all ready. Okay, go on in. And good luck."
