Ashes

Don felt Sarah grab his ribs.

He opened his eyes and smiled.

"I'm already dead Sarah, your touch is useless."

Smaking her across the face, slap was ear percing she fell to the ground with a crack.

"SARAH!" Leo yelled as his face turned into anger and he ran at Don.

Pulling out his katanas fast with elegant force at Donatello's skeleton chest.

As the grin curled, he moved his tail in front of him lightning speed and ripe it off from the joint and blocked Leo's blades as if it were his staff.

"Come on Leo, you know anger is the reason why your family keeps dieing."

"You mean them, we're not family. I'm a stranger to everyone and them same goes for you."

Don looked down at Sarah and kicked her hard in the gut.

Leo's grip on his katanas weakened so Don slide his foot under Leo and punched hard in the patron.

He flew across the room, hitting the wall, making his vision blur and strength decline.

He went down to his hands and knees, starring at Sarah, seeing her tears as she stayed into a ball. Then Mikey motionless on his back and Emily screaming.

"Don don't hurt them."

Those words erased Sarah and Mikey but Leo wad still there, the only one Don used to really care for him and he barley still.

"Leonardo, my favorite. I'll give you a gift. Pick one of the three to live, the other two will die."

Tears filled Leo's eyes.

"What, I thought they weren't family?"

Leo slammed his fist to the ground.

"S...Sa..."

"No! Don kill me!"

Turning to see Sarah with tear marks on her face as she starred at Don.

"Kill me please."

Leo starred at Sarah and looked at him.

"This is what I wanted for a long time."

"Do it."

Sarah looked back at Don.

His smile still plastered on his face he went to Sarah, kneeling down and lift up her chin.

"As you wish Sarah."

Gripping his tail/staff tight he forced it through her chest hearing her heart stop as her skin turned cold and eyes lose its life.

Bring out his tail he snapped it back to its joint and looked at Leo.

"One more to go."

"Check if Mikey is alive first." His voice shook at tears flowed down his face.

Going to Mikey Don heard his heart, it was faint but it was bumping.

"He's fine. Choose quickly or they both die."

"What happened to Kati?"

Don turned to face him.

"Dead."

"Donnie what do you remember about me?"

The smile went dead.

What is he trying to do?

"Many things, that's why you will live and see everyone die around you."

"That's not the answer to my question!"

Don took a step towards Leo.

"When you and me were Takashi's."

"Farther back."

Looking at the floor he played memories farther back, but all he saw was him in a black empty room alone cold, lost with no help coming his way.

"No one. I'm alone no matter what happens. I want what everyone has but I couldn't, I never understood anyone and no one under stood me. So I stopped being myself and try to act to be like everyone but I was put in an empty blank room and no one will help even though they know how. No body tries." Looking at Leo with anger and fustration,"I LOOKED UP TO YOU AND ALL I GET IS PAIN!"

Don fell silent as his memories came fludding in to his mind.

"That's why I left. To keep you safe from me. I was broken, abandoned. As I grow up more all I can learn to make the pain go away was to destroy my past."

Starring at Leo he turned his hands into fist as his shoulder caught fire.

"That's why I want to kill my family, the became my toture, you need to die for me to have peace."

Leo stood up but swang to the wall.

"Donnie, I didn't know you tried to be like us. That's no reason to kill your family."

"No, gives me every right. That's why you need to be alone, to understand then I'll kill you."

Don ran to Emily cutter her stomach open seeing Leo try to came over but he keeps falling to his knees.

As Emily passed away as she gave her final breathe Don smiled as he front flipped to Mikey.

Leo grabbed his katanas from the floor and throw it at Don's eye but he caught it.

"Thank you."

And with no hesitation jabbed Mikey in the heart. Instantly the heart stopped, he was gone.

Leo stopped knowing he failed, just stood there motionless.

"Good bye Leo. Don't worry the city will burn leaving you nothing but ashes."
