Never Okay

Lights in blur, nothing in focus, noises going slow and low.

My head, it's throbbing.

Don's arms felt heavy and cold, yet everything seemed out of the norm. In fact what is normal.

Then crying shot through his ears.

HOSHI!

Don sprang to his feet and there in the house was Hoshi on the couch lieing on her back.

He picked her up and she became calm and quiet as her blue eyes and her smile was the cutest thing Don has seen, but something looked off.

Why does she have teeth? She's only two days old how does she have teeth?

A sound got Don out off his confusion.

Turning around Don saw Kayla and John in a corner with a broom...half a broom...that had signs it was in fire.

"What happened?"said Don sounding like he was a dog about to bit.

Kayla stood up dropping the...stick and dust off ash from her shoulders and pulled John up from behind her.

"I...I can see the resembles, O also she grows really fast."

Don felt himself getting from anger.

Why am I angery?

And that's when it hits him.

"How did I get here?"

John was shaking as he tried to stand up more straight.

"The girl the brown hair with a blonde highlight. She said you killed someone so stay away from me and left. She acted as if we weren't here even though she saw us. Seconds later you wake up."

Don felt his shoulders getting warmer and then she was right there, behind John and Kayla, smiling and holding Hoshi.

Miss no.

"This is the last time Donnie boy, come to New York. We have April."

"Again I'll say, I don't care about April, so kill her."

"Well then I guess your son will.die without a mommy."

No.

"No, you wouldn't kill a child."

Miss smiled at Don."Well I guess I'll see you soon Donnie boy. Your family is waiting for you."

And disappeared into the corners shadow.

F#ck! I just want to be alone.

"D you okay."

"Are you serious John, when am I okay. I'll never be okay because everyone always wants me dead or use me in ways I'll never be myself again!"

John looked at the floor but Kayla was looking at his arms, slowly moving back to her little safe corner.

Looking down carfully to see a black scaly lizard with sharp teeth, the claws on hands and feet not forgetting about the the tail and crow like wings.

Nearly dropping the baby dragon she smiled ad her light blue eyes looked started into Don's red-brown eyes.

"Daddy."

A force of excitement blasted through Don's human body, making him change into Takashi, going to his knees to see if she could stand.

"This is what your afraid of. She's adorable."

As the little girl touched the floor she started to flap her wings gradually getting faster and fast until she started to hover off of the ground.

Don looked up to see Kayla wanting to back up even more. John stood still as he starred at the child, sweating nervously.

I need to go.

Don grabbed Hoshi seeing her transform back to a human child.

She can't stay here, she's to dangerous and...F#ck I have to save the damn b#tch. She must know how to take care of kids.

"I have to go."

"D?"

It was to late Don was gone with Hoshi, aiming for sky as the next day arrived.

"I'm sorry Hoshi, life is never okay for daddy."
