Loving Her

Don released the two young children, looking at them for hope.

"Hoshi, Isamu, go fly up high just go far. I'll keep an eye out if you need help."

The kids went staight up to the clouds as Don went up the building to see April.

Putting his hands on the edge he looked up to see her freckled face.

"April, I..."

"Don stop. I don't want this, for them to be like you. Evil, distructive. Just no."

"I not teaching them to be me. I teaching them to be better than me. I want them to be as bright and as kind as you."

April's eyes relaxed, her crossed arms went to her side as she looked away from Don's face.

Don flapped his wings so he grew more and lifted up her chin so she had to look right at him.

"April for the longest amount of time I cared about you. And when I said I would kill you a heart beat I relized that I was still in love with you. Your eyes, your smile, your freckles."He reached out and grabbed her hand."I miss seeing you everyday of my life. I miss the girl that was in her apartment watching Lucy, singing one of her most favorite songs. I'm miss the girl I saved that night I meet for the first time. And I would save her again and again and again."

April jerked her hand away from Don and turned her back towards him.

"Stop doing this to me Don."

"Doing what?"

"Making me love you. I don't want to. I wish I never even meet you. I would rather be with Raph, but wait you killed him."

Don felt anger when she said that name.

"April I did that because you...you clearly stopped trying to save me but I didn't want you to because I would have lost you."

April turned around with a fist coming at his face but he caught it.

"You already have, for a very long time. So just get out of my sight you monster."

Don felt wounded, weak and pathetic.

"Great I've truly lost the will to stop that world from turning into a lava pool. Good day Vietnam!"

As Don letted go of April's fist she spun a kick but Don caught her foot.

"I seriously doubt that Don. You are going to distroy the world like that worked last time."

"Like I said, you were the reason why I'm here, not going to do it but I guess you are far from having any feeling for me. So Rest In Peace b#tch!"

Don throw her to the cement roof and stood high over her.

"Don, what about the kids?"

"They're like me, they'll survive the heat."

And Don flew away leaving April free to run.

Love is truly a dream for me.
