Beat of My Heart

IM BACK!!!! I'm the worst person ever for leaving all you guess at that cliff hanger but I quit for awhile. But its 1:15 in the morning and I'm going to write the new chapter! So here it is!!!!! :)

I shifted in mid-air and pushed her down. She shifted under me and we broke out into a fight. (I'm going to put a video of wolves fighting from youtube instead of describing it because I'm really tired so the next scene is after the clip fight). She pushed me to the ground and moved in for the kill. I squirmed away but it was no use in wolf form. I closed my eyes and waited to die. Suddenly she yelped and dropped to the ground beside me. I looked up and saw Cole standing with a bloody knife. I shifted back and ran to hug him, I was butt naked, badly bruised, and I just almost died but in Coles arms I felt like the luckiest girl in the world.

"You're not dead!" I sobbed.

"Good thing too, becuase I would've missed all the fun you and chancey were having." He replied. I just then remembered what an asshole he was.

"We both could've died today and thats all you have to say?!" I stepped back and stormed into the house to find some clothes while grumbling to myself about having the dumbest mate in the world.

Cole's POV

When Annabeth left her friend Krissa came up and patted me on the back.

"Way to ruin a sentimental moment smartass." She said to me.

"Well I can't have her thinking I'm going all soft, now can I Krissy?" I asked sacastically.

"It's Krissa." She scowled at me.

"And why should I care?" I asked walking into the house to go find my mate.

Annabeths POV

He walked in without knocking right as I was pulling my shirt on.

"Do you ever knock?" I asked angrily.

"Hey, at least you're fully clothed. I've walked in on plently of half naked girls." He said smiling at his own little joke. I rolled my eyes and started out the door but he grabbed me from behind and turned me around. He stood up and suddenly we were kissing. I forgot everything else at that moment. Scar face could wait.

Well there it is! My welcome back present to all of you :) I just noticed that Annabeth is kind of bipolar, but thats cool. Over 1,000 people have read my story and I just wanted to say thanks to all 15 of my fans and thanks to all my readers! I'm just starting out but even though not many people know my stories I'm happy to see that people acctually like my writing!!!! :)
