This is Dylan.
We drove the rest of the way in silence and I was glad. Dylan walked me to my first period class as always, hugged me bye then went to his class. The first class of the day is English literature and I dreaded it.
It was not one of my favorite subjects.I went to my regular seat in the back of the class and waited for class to begin. About six minutes later, our teacher, Miss McCain walked in and took register.
Everyone in class knows I'm not her favorite student so any chance she gets to embarrass me, she takes it. But today she didn't say anything.
She must've seen my face when she walked through the door.
After she was done, we got on with the lesson. The rest of the day went by quickly and after school, Dylan offered me a ride home, but I declined."Text me as soon as you get home, okay?" He told me as he was walking backwards toward his jeep.
"Yes, mom." I smiled and waved bye as I turned around to make my journey for home.
The thoughts that occupy my day are the dreams. I needed to think. While walking home, I tried to figure out why is he still bothering me, hurting me. I get goosebumps every time I think about him. Why is he still here?
When I reach home, I text Dylan to let him know that I got home safely. Mom got off work late, so I always have the house to myself in the evenings. I look at my phone for the time.
It's 4:32 pm. I decided to get my homework done. As I stood at the bottom of the staircase, I saw him at the top. My bag slid off my shoulder and onto the floor with a thud. My hands flew up to my mouth.
No....no. It can't be....
His back was facing me, but I didn't need to see his face to know. My heart pounded, the big lump in my throat made it hard to breathe. I started to sweat and I couldn't move. Panic attack.
He turned to face me and before the darkness could take me, I swear I heard him say"I'm back."
