I had not planned on taking anyone into my home unless it was Evangeline, but with the strange being here, I didn’t have much of a choice.

I drank an ice coffee, the caffeine keeping me going as I worked on repairing Hamlet. Sitting on the floor beside my work table, was where he sat sorting out each piece of candy from the bag.

I had tried to call Cherry several times but got no answer. That worried me; I had done some reading up on what the being was when he wasn’t paying attention, looking at the pictures of each one of them, variations of Slenderman, never thought I would become some child’s proxy. At least he didn’t ask for a lot, or really much of anything, other than all the candy in my house.

I decided to take a picture of him and sent it to Cherry, hopefully doing that would get her to answer her phone. I pushed away from the desk and looked at the slender being. “Hey so do you have a name?” I asked thinking that I sounded kind of stupid. He paused and turned to look at me.

“It’s Henderman.” I smiled a little.

“Henderman? Nice name I’m Geix.”

“Geix? Strange name.” I rolled my eyes.

“Don’t judge it; anyway try not to make a mess alright. I still have rules in my house, and you will follow them since you’re living here. I’ve edited it to fit what I’ve read about your kind.” I stretched as he stayed focused on me.

“First rule, you are forbidden from touching any technology in my house. Your kind causes it to be almost impossible to video tape you, but if you ruin any of my technology cause of that I’m going to kick your ass. Understood?” He nodded and I smirked. Good to know lack of ears didn’t lead to hearing problems with him.

“Second rule, don’t touch my sewing things! Don’t touch anything that I leave a red card on. If you do you’ll be in deep shit and punished swiftly, understood?” He nodded again.

“Third Rule, when people come over you are to stay in a different room unless, I give you the go ahead. Fourth rule, I’m going to leave a skull on the outer windowsill, just for you. Since that’s your lure, if someone touches it you can take them, but dispose of any dead bodies somewhere else. I may be your proxy but I’m not your maid. Got it? Four simple rules.” He nodded again and I smiled, good we were on the same page. I got up and showed him a small skull with the green candle from before on it. “I’m going to put this on the windowsill and then I need to run some errands stay here and don’t answer the door for anyone. Don’t leave the house at all. I’ll be back later, promise.” I said and grabbed my wallet and leather jacket. I lit the candle setting it on the mentioned sill and left the house. I didn’t bother locking it, leaving a note behind that read.

If anyone breaks in you can do whatever you want to them.

Geix

I never had a problem with thieves before; I also never had a slender in my house, so there was always a first time for everything. I went to several stores, some to purchase red cards from, the other to repair Hamlet.

Then the final stop was to Cherry’s apartment, because something didn’t feel right. I drove out to her apartment parking outside it, walking to the door actually made my heart race.

I used the spare key to her house, I had stepped inside quietly. “Cherry? You there buddy?” Nothing, though it sounded like something was going on in the guest room.

I moved quietly picking up the discarded umbrella by the door. “Cherry? Is that you?” I called lowering my voice slightly.

“Geix?” I heard her voice call before a form clothed in black lunged at me. I swiftly swung slamming the umbrella into the figure, it fell to the ground and I swiftly rushed into the room.
