Silent is the night,
So serene you could hear the clouds rowing if you tried,
Or maybe it was just me,
As I held you intertwined with sobriety,
Listen, as the air filled your lungs with life,
Only to leave me waiting desperate for the next breath,
Feel, the warmth of yours matching mine,
And the cold from you accompanying mine,
Taste, as your lips and mine part,
Ever short yet forever sweet,
Smell, the tuft which you brand poison,
However more of a drug it was, evergreen in every dream,
Staring, as inch by inch the gold basks everything with life,
To which my thoughts go to you,
Like a sunrise you are, minding your own,
Yet everyone can only stare in awe.
