It Was The Knife

Chapter 2

* Kelin's POV *

"Stop please!" I screamed out. It was happening again. I was getting beaten by my drunk dad.

"Shut the fuck up." He tells throwing his half empty beer bottle at me.

I winced at the pain and ran towards the door.

I need to call Sam.

* Sam's POV *

I heard my phone buzz. Who calls at the middle of the night.

"Hello?" I answered.

"Sam can I come over please." I heard Kelinn say.

"Uh yea sure but climb through my window." I say and with that he hinges up.

About 10 minutes later I heard someone tapping on my window.

I looked and see it was my best friend. But instead of a smiling Kelinn I usually see, I seen a cut up and bruised Kelinn.

I opened the door quickly and pulled him into a hug.

Kelinn hugs me back and just starts crying.

"Sam." He sobs.

"Shhh I'm here for you. Tell me what happened." I say sitting us down on my bed.

"My .....Dad." Kelinn says in between crys.

My heart instantly broke.

I might have known Kelinn for 5 years but I know how bad his dad could get.

"It's okay. You can stay with me tonight if you want?" I offer and with that Kelinn looks up at me and smiles.

We sat there staring at each other for what it felt like eternity.

And slowly he starts to lean in.

"Well uh do you want to watch tv?" I say pulling away and standing up to grab the remote.

"Uh sure" Kelinn says awkwardly and even tho it's dark I still see the sad depressed look in his eyes.

I sighed and put on The Little Mermaid.

This movie means a lot to me. It's dumb I know but it reminds me of myself.

I changed for a boy.

Just like Ariel did.

Except I didn't live happily ever after nope. I was heart broken.

Kelinn shifts uncomfortably in my bed.

"You okay?" I ask

Kelinn looks up at me and nods.

"Oh I almost forgot. Well since I tell you everything you know my mom is having a wedding right?" He nods. "Well I know this is last minute but I was wondering if you would like to be my date?" I smile and Kelinns eyes lit up.

"I would love to." He smiles.

I fell asleep and I felt Kelinns arms around me.

Well this is weird.

I woke up and seen that I fell asleep on Kelinn. But he was shirtless.

I blushed mad red and grabbed skinny jeans, I plain black t-shirt and all black converse.

I took a shower and did al my hygienic things and threw on my outfit.

"You look great." I heard a voice behind me.

I looked up from my mirror and seen Kelinn standing behind me smiling. I returns a small smile. He looks really bad than from last night.

He has about 3 bruises on his face and a cut on his side and arm.

He frowned when he sees me observing him.

"I'm fine Sam. Don't worry." He says.

"I know." I sigh.

"He you can borrow my brothers tuxedo for the wedding if you want. He left it here. He won't be here for the wedding since he travled to Japan for vacation." I say smiling.

"Sure."

"You may now kiss the bride." The priest says.

There were a few tears but I promised to be strong.

After the speeches it was time for the dance.

"Shall I have this dance?" Kelinn bows.

I giggle and take his hand.

We danced for a while until Kelinn spiked up.

"Sam I need to confess something." Kelinn starts.

"Yea?" I asked

"I like-" but he was cut off by the dj.

* Kelinns POV *

I was so close to tell her I like her. I like her.

I like Sam Marie Don.

She's messing with my head.

I feel crazy being around her.

What is she doing to me?
