It was almost 300 years ago-
"I highly doubt it was 300 years ago."
"Miss Schnee."
"Sorry, but that seems highly improbable."
"..."
It was almost 300 years ago that Remnant was graced with the birth of a baby girl. However, unknown to the girl's parents, she was a very special baby. However, King Maximus I, the ruler of Atlas at the time, knew that this child, a faunus, was a threat to his kingdom. So, the King had the babe's parents executed and for the baby to be exiled into-
"King Maximus would do no such thing!"
"Weiss, I'm trying to learn about Queen Blake! Shush!"
"Thank you, Miss Xiao Long. Now, as I was saying."
Exiled into the vast wilderness we now call Vale. What King Maximus was not anticipating was a lone wanderer to come across the slowly starving baby.
The wanderer kneeled down in front of a bundle of rustling leaves and soft crying. "Now, what do we have here?" He brushed the leaves away to find a small, black haired, cat faunus baby. "Hey there, darling." He slowly lifted the baby into his arms, cooing softly to quiet the child. "Sh, there, darling. Do not cry." He looked around, wondering where the babe's family was. "Until someone comes to claim you, darling, you shall live with me."
"This all sounds like a tall tale-"
"MISS SCHNEE."
"..."
"Thank you."
By then, the baby had stopped crying, and she cooed at the soothing voice, slowly reaching for his face with her tiny hands. The wanderer looked down, smiling at the babe when he saw a startling sight. "My poor child...you are blind."
And the wanderer was correct, her eyes were a milky white, no color nor definition. However, this made the wanderer love the baby, for he swore he shall teach the babe everything he knew about survival, living, and loving. "If you are to live with me, you must have a name." The baby cooed, as if in confirmation. "I shall name you...Belladonna." He smiled and the baby cooed again. "Yes, Belladonna is a wonderful name for such a beautiful darling...however, I feel as though I am missing something." He turned and started walking toward his home, holding the babe close to his heart. "I do not know what it is, Belladonna, but I shall find out what it is. For now, I shall wash, clothe, and feed you."
So, Belladonna grew under the care of the wanderer-
"Professor Goodwitch, what does this have to do with any of the rumors?"
"If you would stop interrupting, Mr. Arc, I will be able to tell you."
"But Weiss had been interrupting you so far!"
"Quiet, Jaune! I like story time!"
"Nora! Weiss star-"
"AHEM!!"
"..."
"..."
"Good, now where was I...Ah, yes."
So, Belladonna grew under the care of the wanderer for many years, learning how to adapt to her surroundings despite her disability. Her mind was sharp, her reflexes were sharper. She grew, living off the land and the animals who were not effected by the souless darkness that many animals fall prey of. Her aim has yet to fail her.
Then, seventeen years after Belladonna was found, a figure in a dark cloak had walked up to the wanderer's hut. Belladonna was outside, her ax slicing wood to prepare for the oncoming winter. Belladonna sensed the figure, her hand reaching for her knife. "Calm, my dear child. I am not here for a confrontation."
"My father is not home."
Though shadows covered much of the figure's face, her smirk was not hidden. Though, Belladonna was unable to notice. "I came to see you, Blake."
Belladonna's eyes narrow. "Only my father calls me that. And, though I have met many people, they only know me as Bella or Belladonna. How do you, a woman I have never met, know my name."
The woman's smirk only grew in size. "Do not fret my child, for, when you awaken, all will become clear." And, with a few quick motions with her hand, Blake fell to her knees, a burning pain ripping through her skull, a dull pounding accompaning it. "Do not fight it, my child. Succumb to it."
The woman's voice calmed Blake, causing her to fall onto the grass, her eyelids to slide close, and all senses to slowly shut down, one by one.

The door to Glynda's classroom slammed open to reveal a furious Ironwood. "Glynda!"
Glynda sighed, her hand rubbing her face. "Class dismissed. Miss Xiao Long."
Yang stopped her advances of leaving to turn to address her professor. "Yes ma'am?"
"I would like to see you later tonight. It is of the upmost importance."
Yang nodded in affirmation before taking the stairs two at a time so she could prepare for tomorrow.
Ironwood stormed down the stairs, his face red in fury. "You let her Majesty FIGHT A STUDENT?!"
"Did you expect me to deny Her Majesty?"
"YOU COULD HAVE LET THE STUDENTS KNOW WHO THEY WERE CHALLENGING!"
"Did Her Majesty want to be treated as if she were royalty?"
"SHE SHOULD ALWAYS BE TREATED-"
"JAMES!" Ironwood quieted and Glynda sighed in relief. "You know how Her Majesty feels about people knowing of her royal status. I was not about to disregard a direct order from Her Majesty, and you should do no different." Her door opened to reveal students walking inside. "Now, if you will excuse me, I have a class of hormonal teenagers with weapons to teach."
Ironwood silently and mentally stabbed Glynda with his eyes before turning around and leaving.
