17 years have passed, and, if one were asked, they would say that the most powerful realm in all of Remnant would be the Kingdom of Vale, ruled under the iron fist of the Deadly Nightshade, the name given to the Queen, for she disposes of all that oppose her with only a person's gaze and a heart that had yet to beat. At least, those were the rumors spread throughout Remnant by a circuit of resistance in Vale, named the White Fang.

Yet, the White Fang was not only tethered in Vale, for their influence has spread into other kingdoms, the Kingdom of Atlas being their second largest. And the leader of the Atlas Branch? It was none other than Adam Taurus, who escaped the Queen's castle with more than wounded pride. And he did not hesitate to bring more people to the White Fang, despite the heavy lies he tells of the Queen.

Does the Queen know of this growing resistance? Of course. Does she know of the lies the mortal humans and Faunus are being told? Very much so, for she has a spy in each kingdom informing her. Will she strike? In due time.

These are the questions she is asked while in a meeting with her circle of advisors from Beacon.

Ah, Beacon, a castle-like home for future huntsman and huntswomen of Vale. The Grimm population had been growing at an alarmingly fast rate ever since the news of one of the kingdom's best hunter had gone off to complete a mission concerning a pack of Beowolves and never returning.

"Your Highness," a man addressed her on her left. Blake struggled to bite back a growl as her emotionless amber eye locked onto blue ones in an emotionless glare. This man, with black hair and gray stripes in an impeccable white army uniform with many metals recognizing his achievements and ranking, has been a growing thorn in her side. "We must act fast. If we do not dispose of the white Fang soon-

"Ironwood," Queen Blake interrupts. A gloved hand raises to her face and rubs it in agitation. "I would rather not confirm the rumors being spread about me being a heartless ruler."

"But, Your Highness-"

"Ironwood," a middle aged man on Blake's right says calmly. His grey tousled hair and vibrant, thin brown eyes enhanced by spectacles betray his age, which Blake is still not positive on. "Her Highness has been in this conference room for over 7 hours. I believe she wishes to learn of the progress being made with the huntsmen and women of Beacon."

A woman sitting next to the man, with blonde hair pulled back into a bun, bright green eyes, and ovular glasses, nods. "I must agree with Ozpin about this, Ironwood. Her Majesty must be given time to consider such a drastic choice."

Ironwood growled, clenching his hands into a tight fist, the leather of his gloves straining against the force. "What needs to be done, Glynda, is to dispose of the problem."

"What needs to be done, James, is not going with the direct approach. Sometimes, that is a necessary tactic in war, but when it comes to harming innocents, a thought out plan will be the best route of approach."

Blake closes her eye in frustration, her gloved hand now rubbing her temples to dispel the oncoming migraine. A glass of water was placed in front of her. She glances behind her to see Neptune standing behind her, back as straight and face stoic. She gives him a nod before taking a sip from the glass. "Glynda," Blake finally says.

Glynda Goodwitch, looks at the Queen, a question in her eyes. "Yes, Your Majesty?"

Blake's gaze meets Glynda's, her face unreadable. "I would like to sit in on one of your classes." Glynda opens her mouth to protest, but Blake raises a hand. "General Ironwood had made a valid point earlier today. I believe I will need to find a personal guard with how restless the White Fang has become. You know that I have not been at my prime ever since..." Blake clears her throat, lowering her hand. "The point is I need someone who is going to be strong enough to be able to protect me against the White Fang and will be able to lead the frontlines if the rumored war between all of Remnant were to come to pass." Blake stands, and Ozpin, Glynda, and Ironwood stand with her. As she begins to speak, Neptune drapes her regal cape across her shoulder and clasps it at the front. "I will come by sometime this week. You will not know when until after I make my presence know." Blake begins to walk toward the door, Neptune following close behind. Before she exits, she stops to turn toward the three. "And Ozpin, be sure that Team CFVY are ready to depart for their mission before sunset. I wish for them to be at Mountain Glen before tomorrow night." And then the Queen turned and left, going to observe the progress of the Remnant's finest academy for huntsmen and women.
