Ryder's P.O.V
I was carrying my mate to our house. Yes, I said our house. I had gotten my own, two-bedroom house when Amber left. I never lost hope that I'd get her back.I looked down at her and I started to hate myself even more. I let go of such a beauty. She was my breath. She was everything I'd ever need, and I'd work myself to death if it meant for her to accept me again.
I finally got to soon-to-be our house and laid her on the soon-to-be our bed.
Even though she was unconscious, she was beautiful. Her raven locks were spewed on the white pillows, and her body seemed as if it belonged in the bed.
My wolf growled in approval as he saw her in our bed, with us. Where she belonged.
Even though my wolf still hated me for making her run away, he was happy that she was with us right now.
She didn't wake up within the hour and it was starting to worry me. I picked her up and mindlinked the pack doctor to meet me in his office, at the pack house.
On the way there, I saw Kyle. Amber's brother.
He turned towards me and did a double take when he saw Amber. His face changed from confusion to happiness in seconds. Then worry.
"What's wrong with her?!" He asked.
I hesitated. I didn't know how he would react.
He sniffed the air and his eyes zeroed in on the sensitive, pink skin that had a faint cursive writing of my name.
His eyes darkened. "You MARKED her?!" He exclaimed.
I spoke cautiously, trying not to kill him for yelling at his Alpha.
"She's my mate Kyle. I have a right to mark. Also, this way she won't be able to run away again."
Kyle looked at me angrily, then his eyes softened when he looked at my Amber.
"She's going to give you hell for this." He told me. "Just make sure you don't hurt her."
I nodded my thanks and continued to the pack doctor with Kyle in tow. When we arrived, the pack doctors (Jenna) eyes widened when they saw Amber.
"What happened?" She asked, now in professional mode.
"I marked her and she passed out." I explained. "She's been asleep for a couple hours now."
"When was the last time you saw her?" Jenna asked.
"Before I marked her?" I asked. Jenna nodded.
"Well, I saw her for a few minutes a couple of days ago."
"No, I'm talking about a long period of time."
"Three years ago." I answered sadly.
"Well, Alpha, I think that since you were apart for so long, her wolf is getting used to being around you. The bond is mending, after being so thin for so long. She should wake up in a few minutes."
Jenna said, I left and went back to my house, setting her in our bed in OUR room.
I looked at her and stroked her cheek. Her body involuntary shivered and scooted closer to me. I smiled, then I frowned when I thought about how mad she'd be when she woke up. She probably wouldn't want to be near me as much as she wants to when she's asleep.
