-Serena POV-

Looking around I was glad to see everyone from my pack mingling around and having a good time, for a moment there I wonder if we could all be like that one day without living in fears of when they're going to find us, it's just a matter of time before we make a mistakes and they'll catch up to us. I shivered at that thought, now isn't the time to think about all that.....but it wouldn't hurt to be a little bit alert right?

A few minutes into the bonfire Blair was already out of my sight doing god knows what, now that I think about it she has always been MIA for the past few days. Hmm, wonder what's up with her? I thought and my wolf just had to cut in at this very moment. She's probably just flirting with some guy. Typical Blair...

Walking around and talking to some of the people I knew at school, I could practically feel most of the guys staring at me as if I'm a dessert or something. However, not one of them even dared to approached me which was weird because I swear some of them were looking at me in a totally inappropriate way. Whatever it was, I was thankful for it.

The looks they were giving me were getting really uncomfortable as the seconds passed and I couldn't take it anymore. Guys, I'm going to go for a walk in the woods. Don't worry, I promised I won't be too long. With that said, I block out my mind link and head towards the deep green forest to have some time away from everything.

I was walking aimlessly into the forest when I came across the most beautiful scenery I've ever seen. The moonlight that reflected on the water made it look as though the whole place was glowing; the wind was calm and I felt a sense of peace washed over me for once after such a long time, I couldn't help but smile.

I was so engrossed at the sight that I wasn't paying attention to my surrounding until I felt someone's presence behind me. Every cell in my body immediately went on high alert until I heard a....chuckle?? Could it be a sadistic rouge? I sure hope not.

"Really?? A sadistic rogue? Chill, it's just me." the voice said with a hint of amusement in them and I immediately relaxed. That's when his scent hit me and I tensed. Wait a minute did he just read my mind, I must have forgotten to put up my mind block against him.

"Why are you here? Don't you have somewhere else to be?" I said coldly not even turning to meet his eyes. I was sitting on the rocks still admiring the beauty of the lake, it somehow had a magical and relaxing vibe to it.

I could sense he was hesitating about something until he finally decided to join me on the rocks and I couldn't help but let out a sigh. "You still haven't answer my question...." I mumble quietly but of cause he heard it, werewolf senses remember?

"What question?"

I rolled my eyes but he obviously couldn't see it. Is he that clueless?? Guess I got the stupid one. He's not stupid my wolf growled. Okay, okay calm down would'ya, don't have to go all protective over him.

"Oh, you mean what am I doing here?" I nodded.

"I couldn't find you anywhere so I just followed your scent and found you here at my spot." He said like it was the most obvious thing in the world, I finally turn towards him and raised an eyebrow, " Your spot?? Well I don't see your name here."

He chuckled again, seriously what is with this guy chuckling all the time, does he find me that amusing? Gosh... I'm stuck with a mate who's brainless and has chuckling issues or something, could someone please save me. For a moment there I thought I actually heard a hint of concern in his voice but then I remembered what happened in the classroom and I've come to terms that I couldn't trust him so easily, it's probably just another act.
