Ross starts to smile as he steps back to regain his balance. "What!? Like on a date?" Ross says, faking a shocked face.
Laura realizes Ross was trying to reenact their conversation from the RMDA's. She plays along with him. "Nooo. Not go out. Hang out, as friends."
Ross smiles. "You want to be friends, again?"
"Ross, i didn't mean to make it seem like we weren't friends. I'm really sorry about that." Laura says.
"Okay, I guess, i'll forgive you." Ross says. "Friend hug?"
"I think i like our hugs better. Friend hugs are a little too friendly." She says.
"What are our hugs then?" He asks her.
Laura smiles at him. "A little bit more special."
Ross smiles at her and Laura pulls him in for their tight hug. He wraps his arms around her torso. "I missed you, Laur."
Laura smiles and closes her eyes. "I missed you too, Ross. A whole lot."
. . .
"Come on, Ross. Why not a scary movie?" Laura jokes as they walk to the theater.
Ross rolls his eyes. "You know i don't like scary movies. We are watching a romance movie."
"Romance movie for a romantic guy." Laura says, rolling her eyes.
"I'm not romantic." Ross states as he holds open the door to the theater for Laura.
"Clearly," Laura says. Ross realizes and rolls his eyes, closing the door before Laura could walk in. "Ha! Now i'm not."
"Ross!" Laura shouts, smiling.
Ross laughs and opens the door for her again. "Just kidding. I wouldn't do that."
Laura smiles at him. "Romantic." She says in a sing-songy voice. Then, she walks inside with Ross behind her, rolling his eyes.
They get their tickets and enter the theater. There were hardly any people their since it was so late at night. They sit down right in the middle. "What's the movie called again?" Laura asks Ross.
"As if i loved my best friend." Ross says with his eyes on the screen. "It has a long title."
Laura looks at him for a while. He notices her staring. "What?" He asks, turning to her.
"Who is your best friend?" Laura asks him in a low whisper.
Ross looks at the large screen and then back at her. "Um, I don't know. I have a few. What about you?" He says matching her whisper.
"Same. I have a couple." Laura says.
"Am i one of them?" Ross asks her, his eyes trained on the screen.
Laura studies him. "Of course." She says. Laura sees Ross smile from looking at the side of his face. "Am i one of yours?"
"Uh, yeah." He says in a duh voice. Laura smiles and watches the movie.
. . .
As if you couldn't tell by the title, As I Loved My Best Friend is about a guy and a girl who have a tight friendship and start to fall for each other.
The girl starts to fall for another guy as the main guy is on a trip. The main guy find out and gets jealous. He starts to try to make the main girl jealous by hanging out with another girl. The main girl does get jealous and starts to ignore the main guy. But, then, they apologize and start to be friends again.
They tell their friends and family, but deny their feelings for each other. Both of them are too scared to admit their feelings until the end.
. . .
At the end of the movie, some crazy things happen and the two main characters end up falling on top of each other and kissing on the floor, quite similar to Ross and Laura.
Laura looks at Ross and He looks at her. Before Laura can look away, because she knows Ross, he winks at her.
Laura rolls her eyes and hits his chest. She looks away, blushing. "You're so annoying."
Ross laughs.
. . .
They were walking back to the concert where they parked on a rocky gravel road through a park. It was late at night and only the light from the full moon allowed them to see.
"I like how they got together in the end. They realized they shouldn't hide their feelings for each other." Ross says.
Laura turns around to face him. "Ross... Why did you pick that movie?"
Ross looks around, nervously. "I don't know."
Laura tilts her head up. "Are you sure? The whole movie was basically our life."
Ross smiles at her and steps closer. "Really? What made you think that? Was it the fact that the main characters had a thing for each other but kept denying it?"
Laura felt herself blush wildly. She had a thing for Ross but, did Ross have a thing for her?
Ross answered that question by taking her face in his hands and presses his lips against hers, softly. The space between them no longer exists. Laura relaxes her hands on his chest, kissing him back.
They wanted this moment to last forever. Laura had to say this was the best night ever. Ross likes her. She liked Ross. Everything had to be perfect.
Their lips part from each other and Ross looks down at her. "Do you have feelings for me?" He asks her.
Laura thinks, looking up at his beautiful eyes and his perfect hair. She never thought about Brandon like this. Calum was right. She did like Ross more than Brandon. "I-."
Just then, Laura sees someone behind Ross, a couple of feet away. "Laura?" He says. God, dang it. It was Brandon.
Laura separates herself from Ross. "Brandon, th-." Laura starts.
"So this is what you were doing. Instead of hanging out with me, here you are kissing him. I mean, instead of telling me that you aren't going to hang out with me, you don't say anything. Hasn't it ever occurred to you that i'd be at the restaurant waiting all night for you to come? Well, i was there. I was waiting all night for you to come and now i see you have better things in mind." Brandon says.
"I meant to tell you but-." Laura starts.
"So, wait. You did have other things to do?" Ross asks her.
"I mean, yeah, but i wanted to sort things out with you because of how rude i was." Laura says to Ross.
"You were rude to me." Brandon says.
"Ugh! I know! I was rude to you and Ross! I try to make it up to both of you but ends up turning the whole world upside down! I can't keep having to choose between you and him. It's too hard!"
Ross looks at her. "Then, choose now." He says. "Who do you like more?"
Laura looks at him. It was him she liked more. But, she couldn't say that out loud. "Ross, not now... I can't."
"So, what? Are you choosing him?" Brandon asks, annoyed. "It kinda looks like it, considering you'd kiss him any day but not me. How many times have you kissed him?" Brandon says.
"This is the second time." Ross says.
Laura hits his arm. "Don't answer him!" She says in a low voice.
"Twice? No wonder why she wouldn't kiss me. She already has a thing for you."
"Brandon!" Laura shouts. She turns around facing away from both of them and starts walking away. "You know what, i'm not going to deal with this."
"Laura, wait." Ross says, catching up to her. Brandon walks on the other side of her.
They both look at him. "My car is parked that way, too." He tells them.
They walk in silence until there is a cracking sound. Laura unexpectedly falls into Ross, and he catches her. "Sorry!" She says. "Ughh, my heel broke."
Laura takes off her heels and winces once her foot touches the ground.
"Here," Ross says.
"No, Ross, you don't-." Laura starts as he picks her up bridal style. "Thanks." She says, wrapping her arms around her neck and looking into his eyes.
"Ughhh." Brandon groans, obnoxiously. "Please, try to rub it in my face a bit more." He says, rolling his eyes.
"We are not rubbing anything in your face." Laura snaps.
"Oh, of course not." He says.
"We're not. So, stop. If you want, we can start." Ross says.
Laura hits him. "Stop."
"I'm just saying." He says. Brandon rolls his eyes. "Why do i even bother?"
"What are you talking about?" Laura asks him.
"Why do i continue to like you even though you blow me off and you like him much more than me?" He replies.
"That's not true. Well, it is. I mean,-." Laura says.
Ross raises his eyebrows at her. "You are not helping yourself." He tells her.
"Yeah, I know." She says.
"Can you guys stop flirting with each other?" Brandon says.
"Can you move back a couple hundred yards? Kay, thanks." Ross says.
"Yeah, then you could too and then we can settle this." Brandon says.
"Why don't we do this right here, then?" Ross suggest walking over to the grass and sets Laura down. "Ross! Brandon! Stop! What the heck are you guys doing!?" She yells, getting up.
Brandon starts lifting up his sleeves and towards Ross, getting in his face. "You think you're soo cool with all the girls falling for you, traveling around the world like a fricking superstar. Well, you're not so perfect."
"Never said i was perfect. But i know that i'm better than you." Ross fires back.
Brandon starts to get closer to him and is about to swing his fist but Laura steps in between them, pushing Brandon away from Ross. "Guys, really? What the heck are you even fighting about? This ridiculous! Just freaking stop acting like idiots! I can't believe you two. This is so stupid." Laura yells.
Then, she turns to Ross. "Why are you even fighting? What do you need to prove? There's no point in fighting him!" She says, then starts walking to the gravel road. But then, stops, realizing she can't walk on the sharp rocks without cutting her foot open.
Ross goes over to her and picks her up again, starting to walk. "Sorry."
"Whatever." Laura says, feeling irritated. "I cannot believe you guys were really going to fight."
Brandon trails behind them, kicking rocks, being silent. Ross was silent. And so was Laura.
Great. And to think they had everything all sorted out. Prom is a couple days away. How are they going to withstand this new relationship between the three of them? What is Laura going to do about Ross?

I think my next chapter will be the last because that's basically the end.
