The next morning, Almeta inhaled the scent of her fathers famous food. She rose up, and quickly dressed.
Her mother sat at the table and folded rags as her father cooked."It's hot, where's Master Skywalker?"
"I'll go wake him." She smiled.
Walking down the hall, she knocked on Anakin's door."Come in."
As she opened the door, Almeta found herself face to face with a shirtless Anakin, who was holding his tunic in his hands.
Forcing herself to look away, she swallowed. "Forgive me, Master."
"Don't be, is everything alright?" He asked, pulling the clothing over his head and pulling it down over his torso."Yes, my father cooked." She answered as he placed his lightsaber in the loop of his belt.
"Was wondering why I could sense your excitement just now."She bit her lip as he grinned, walking past her.
-
Almeta laid on the hot sand with her eyes closed. She missed it; the feeling of being home.Anakin was visiting his step father, which left her bored. She fooled around with her ightsaber for a few moments before laying it on the sand.
Her mind flashed back to the sight of Anakin shirtless. She was staring at her Master the way she shouldn't, but for some reason, it felt right.
She sat up, pinching the sand between her fingers.Almeta was far out in the desert, which she enjoyed doing growing up. The sun hit the land perfectly, leaving her to take off her cloak.
As she stood up, she froze at the familiar howl in the distance.Almeta felt her heart beating rapidly inside of her chest at the sight of sand people, and their Bantha's. There was no chance of out running them either.
With no other choice, she lifted her lightsaber, watching as they slowly approached her.
She swung the lightsaber, watching as they howled. She watched one fall to the ground at her actions. The girl screamed as one kicked her, causing her to fall breathlessly to the ground. With one hit, she felt herslef drift off into a sleep.
-
The soft movement of someone walking barely woke Almeta. She felt a cold hand under her knees, the other pressed against her back as they carried her.
Blinking a few times, she opened her eyes half way to see a familiar prosthetic hand.
It was Anakin. Her head began spinning, which left her to squeeze her eyes shut.
-
A cold object being pressed against her forehead, brought her back to the present. Almeta swallowed, her throat sore and dry."Is she awake?" The petite voice of her mother asked.
Metal fingertips pressed against her jaw. "She's waking."
Almeta opened her eyes to see Anakin hovering over her. Her mother sighed in relief."Damn sand people!" She hissed, pacing across the room.
She felt Anakin's hand press to her back for support as she sat up. She sighed and rubbed her temples.
"How did you find me, Master?" She asked.
"You were near my Step Fathers sand den." He answered.
Almeta blinked multiple times. "I was?"
He nodded. "I'm glad I found you. . . I could sense something was wrong. Then I heard the sand people."
"I'm an idiot for going out there. Forgive me, Master.""Don't apologize, I'm just glad you aren't in worse condition."
Almeta ran a hand through her hair. "Enough Tatooine for me for a while."
"This makes me question our trip to Hoth." Anakin said, sitting down beside her.
She looked down at her lap. "I won't fail you again, Master.""You didn't fail me, Almeta. It's just that you aren't fully trained. I worry about your safety."
"I won't let you down." She promised him.
He placed his hand on her cheek, making her heart race.
"I believe you."-
