Chapter 3

Emma's POV

As I walked into Cat's driveway I got an uneasy feeling. It was like someone was watching. But there was no one around at this hour.

I jumped at the slightest rustle of trees or bushes.

I had to tell myself I was just being paranoid and it was nothing.

Although the pit at the bottom of my stomach told me otherwise.

I mean there was no one that would want to hurt me. Well...... except for him. NO!

I quickly pushed that thought from my head.

The feeling didnt stop even went we went inside and all the doors were locked.

"Emma are you ok?" Mattie asked.

"Yea I'm fine." I told her even though that wouldn't have even convinced me.

She kept shooting me worried looks up to when we went to bed.

But I finally felt relaxed when we went to bed.

BANG!

I woke up in the middle of the night startled by a noise downstairs.

Was it Cat's mom and dad? No it couldn't be because they weren't getting home till tomorrow.

I didn't know if I should wake the others. I mean if it was nothing there was no point in disturbing them for nothing.

I decided just to ignore it and go back to bed.

BAD idea .

I heard footsteps running up the stairs and I was frozen in my sleeping bag. Everyone else was asleep.

But I couldn't do anything, I was to frozen with fear.

The person came into the room and like a dark shadow crept over to me.

The last thing I remember before a hand was clamped over my mouth was someone screaming so loud it made my ears ring.

Then I realized it was me.
