Chapter 4

Riley's POV

"AHHHH!" I jumped up to the sound of Emma's screams.

I looked around the room at Cat and Mattie who looked about as confused as I was.

Then it registered. The broken window.

Oh no. My feet wouldn't run all I could do was walk to the window hoping not to see Emma's dead body at the bottom of this long drop.

Thankfully I didn't but we did know something happened to her.

Mattie was already on the phone with the police while Cat was searching for her in case she was still in the house.

"Emma!" We shouted over an over everywhere until it was useless and we could hear the police sirens approaching.

This couldn't be true my sweet little kind Em couldn't be gone. I don't think I would ever sleep again until I knew she was safe.

For all we know she could be dead.

We all spent the rest of the night answering police's questions.

Like I thought I couldn't sleep a wink no matter how tired I was.

This world is truly wicked. I mean who would want to take a poor innocent girl who has never lied in her life.

But I knew I had to stay positive for Emma. If she was still alive....

She was missing.
