Standoff

A/N This is the last chapter, I hope you guys will like it and I'm trying my best to make it up to you guys for not updating sooner.

Elsa's POV

The sirens were blasting at my ear drums as I stared at the body before me. Blood was pooling out of his chest and he was carried on a stretcher. The woman who hated me had blood gushing from her head as I stared off into space.

"Elsa???" A weak voice called and I rushed over to him holding his hand as we got into the ambulance.

I brought his cold hand up to my face, "I'm right here Jack. Please stay with me...."

~1 Hour ago~

"Argh!!!!!!" I covered my head waiting for the pain in my body, but.... but I didn't feel it. Slowly I lifted my head and saw where the sound had come from. It wasn't Jack. My father was holding his shoulder and behind him with a gun, was North?!

"Get on the ground you two!!!" North yelled pointing the gun to my father and Jack's mother. They looked shocked but quickly over came it when she pointed a gun to my head.

"Shoot North. However I must warn you, I will be able to pull the trigger before the bullet hits myself.

North growled but didn't move and kept his gun level. A stand off. They glared at each other and I tried to move, but I heard a gun cock. I looked back and my breathing began to get heavy as I saw my father with a gun now, pointing it at Jack.

"How can this be so easy for you Adgar? You really gonna let her die. To get to me?"

My father chuckled coldly, "lets see if you can guess Frost. I'll give you a few clues. What kind of father would actually give up their true daughter for revenge?"Jack gasped and my head shot up with my vision blurry. No... No.... He can't... that...

"Ah, I see you guys have finally caught on, You see Elsa, your not my daughter. As soon as I found out, I began to slowly hate you. You're the reason she left me!" My 'father' shot the wall so close to my head I couldn't move. He laughed. He actually laughed.

The person who was supposed to protect me and help me. The person I loved.... laughed. At my weak state. at my shock.

"Elsa?" Jack called crawling closer to me holding me tight. I began to sob into his chest. So that explained what happened when I was 8. Why he was so angry.

~Flashback~

I was searching through daddy's wardrobe trying to find a picture of mummy. Today was one year today that she died, so I wanted to find a picture and talk to her.

I found a box of papers and picked one up. A.... Adop. What's Adop? I searched deeper and saw my name Elsa adop (that word again) child of-

The paper was snatched out of my hand and I whimpered as I saw a very angry daddy. He was panting and his face was red in anger.

"What. Were. You. Doing?"

"I was trying to find a picture of mummy daddy. I wanted to talk to her....."

"DON'T LIE TO ME!!!!" And for the first time in my life...... He.... He slapped me. I lifted a hand to my cheek and tears started to form in my eyes and I began to cry.

Daddy's face softened and he pulled me into his arms but I kept trying to struggle out of his grip. I was really scared, "Elsa? I'm so sorry. It's okay. You'll be okay? I didn't mean to.. I'm so sorry. But never look at those ever again.

Ever since that day, I did everything he ever said. In fear that he would hurt me again.

~Flash Back Over~

"Yes Elsa, you're mother cheated on me with a prince and I....... well, lets just say when I found out when you were... eh, age 7... I didn't forgive very easily. I adopted you and you became mine. Mine to do what I please with. And that includes," he shot next to me making me jump, "getting rid of you."

Jack began to speak, "Mum, what about you?"

"I was going to get revenge on Elsa for hurting you and Adgar wanted to get revenge on you because of your father, we thought only fair. I got rid of his daughter, and he got rid of my son. Then...... because I helped him get rid of his wife, he'll help me get rid of my husband."

~(A/N Sorry if this is getting really confusing. So far Elsa is adopted, Adgar killed his wife and Jack's mum wants to get rid of her husband)

"You know what I don't understand?" This time it came from North, "I don't understand why villains always monologue."

As soon as he said that, ropes came from the roof and police officers pointed guns at them, "drop the guns! Adgar Frozen and Lillian Frost, you are under arrest for attempt murder, kidnapping, murder and conspiracy of murder. Drop the weapons."

"Alright" my father said, but he didn't drop his gun yet, "after this" and he shot Jack once again. Before they had a chance to shoot me, the officers opened fire and shot the two. Both of them most likely dead, blood pooling out of their bodies on the cold hard floor.

~1 Week later~

I held his hand while we were in the hospital, he had lost a lot of blood and was unconscious. I brought his hand to my face and kissed his knuckles as I continued to cry, "please wake up Jack. It's been a week. Please."

Jack's father was devastated about his wife's betrayal, but he's doing everything in his power to help us. He even promised to help me find my real father, but for now..... I only care about Jack. I only want him to wake up.

"I promised that I would stop scaring you like this, but now it's your turn. Please. I love you." I kissed his forehead, then his cheek, then a quick peck on his lips before I moved some of his hair away from his closed eyes.

My voice was croaky, "I love you Jack."

I need to head back home. Mr Frost is letting me move in with him and Jack for a little bit, Punzie has gone back home, I don't have anyone right now. Not even Jack.

"I'll see you later Jack."

I was about to leave the hospital when I heard a croaky voice calling to me.

"El... Elsa? I... I love... I love you too."

A/N Well guys, this is it. Thank you for helping me and supporting me for this book. You guys are the best and without your support I don't know what would've happened. I hope the ending wasn't so bad and confusing and I hope you guys have enjoyed reading this book just as much as I have done writing it.
