Loud cries of outrage, lashing tails, and angry snarls rippled through out the room. Bloodscreamer witnessed horrified as one of then coughed out blood, landing on the table and the dragons winced away from the stain. Slash stood up abruptly, letting the one that coughed lean against his shoulder. He motioned with his hand for Bloodscreamer and he didn't even think twice about helping.

They exited the meeting, roars of chaos sounding could still be heard. As they arrived to the healing cave, the dragon had already lost a lot of blood. The leader of the dragon patrol decided to stay behind and consult with the others, and if she hadn't she would be here with them right now. Slash put a paw on the dragons throat, checking for a pulse probably.

"Bloodscreamer, hand me seaweed and the ointment over there," Slash called. Bloodscreamer retrieved it, and handed it to Slash while the other started binding it against the wounds and putting the medicine on it to probably stop the spread of infection.

It was a similar process to how he fixed up the MudWing soldier, since they were both battle wounds. Slash expertly and neatly did his job, and the dragon went into a deep slumber after he injected something into their neck.

Together, they laid him into the pelt where he was left mumbling in pain. His talons twitched frequently, and sometimes he convulsed. Obviously, he must be having terrible sleep judging by the way he gritted his teeth and shut his eyes.

Bloodscreamer felt sorry for him, because whatever happened had really shaken him up and the other dragon. Why would anyone bother to attack them anyways? A SeaWing and SandWing? He guessed it was kind of suspicious seeing two different tribes together.

Except the more he thought about it, the more confused he got so maybe it was better to be unknown. They probably wouldn't be able to retaliate.

"Slash," he asked a little reluctantly. No, he would prefer not to be anywhere near this dragon but important things call for drastic measures. "Should we go investigate?"

The SkyWing tilted his head in question. "Investigate? Investigate what?"

Bloodscreamer had to hold back from slapping Slash in the snout. "Investigate the cause behind this attack or who did it and where they are. If we know the dragons better, it will help us defend the borders better."

Slash just shrugged, raising his talons as if he didn't care. But his answer did surprise Bloodscreamer.

"Sure, i'll join you. You have a point this time."

Bloodscreamer rolled his eyes at the additional comment Slash said, marching out the cave and waiting there. He flicked his tail, while waiting for Slash to reorganize his cave and put the medical stuff where it belonged.

The other appeared a moment later, expressionless except for maybe a bit of curiosity. He got up, walking to the end of their cave right next to the outside.

Slash squinted, adjusting a bit to the light. "It's really kind of bright," he murmured placing his palm over his eyes to block out most of the light.

Although Bloodscreamer couldn't help but look shocked. "It's not bright at all. It's so gloomy."

Instead, he received a frown from the SkyWing. "Well for you maybe, but I've been in the caves mostly. Not exactly super ideal or anything."

"Little rat," he muttered under his breath. Slash turned and glared at him. "Hey, I know you said something about me."

Bloodscreamer wrinkled his snout in disapproval. "Well, it described you pretty well so I thought I should say it."

Slash tried to swipe him, but he dodged out of the way before he could. He increased the distance just to make extra sure that the fury of the SkyWing wouldn't be released on him. He didn't need any angry red dragon after him, unlike some.
